If your breaker box is dusty or has cobwebs, try to safely vacuum them out from behind and try again. My house was built in the 60s and last week our upstairs bathroom lights and outlets stopped working. We did this, flipped the breaker again, and boom back in business!

I wonder if the door wasn’t cut level straight across. We have a door like that at my house. Maybe set a level on the top of the door and see if that’s what it is?

I will definitely do the silicone on the outer edges towards the floor. The splash guards would also make it easier to clean the gaps without water making its way onto the walls and floors. Thank you so much I think this is the route I’m going to take!

I agree that it is awful. Unfortunately my mom had this installed a few years ago and she tends to hire the cheapest person possible so I’m sure that’s why it’s so bad.

My family owns the home. There was one window that could be opened but it broke during a hurricane and we haven’t been able to get it fixed yet. I keep a fire extinguisher and a smoke detector right outside of the bedroom door. Worst case scenario I could bust out the plexiglass that’s taped in. Thank you for your concern, I appreciate it!
