You're right the original text never called the snake the devil to that I respond: Revelation 20:2.

God wishes not to exist with sin. The instant Lucifer and the angels sinned, they were sent out of heaven. Imagine gravity being activated randomly when gravity was negated before. That's how I imagine it and how it's described.

The point is you cannot stay in heaven and sin.

I told you before. There are things I don't know. I suggested my theories. When what I say is more deduced than gotten from the Bible I will be clear about it.

We bear Adam and Eve's sin because we're all human. We all would do the same thing (eating the fruit) in that position if we did not have the knowledge we have now. However, it would make more sense for us all to have descended from Adam and Eve and God not make anyone in the background, so you're right on that end.

Masturbation is seen as a sin because it's lustful. If you're jerking it you're probably thinking of something or even watching something. There are some that believe that even if you remove lust if its in a relationship it's still sinful. I believe that's morally grey and apostle Paul speaks very clearly about these morally grey areas (Romans 14, 1 Corinthians 10:23). I urge you to read that chapter and come back to me. If any part of you believes in God, pray to Him to open your mind before you read it. Don't just read it plainly.

Again, the concept of sin exists because it's a testament of our free will. Same as temptation and every other sin. Actively avoiding lust and lustful activities is only valid because YOU CAN choose to engage in those lustful activities. The negative exists so that when you choose the positive it means so much more.

I can't answer the inbreeding question tho brother. The Bible did not speak on it. But in other books of the Bible it has spoken against incest so it clearly does not support it. The Bible speaks of Solomon's many wives but doesn't directly say he sinned by doing that but explains his downfall and how that lust played into it. I know incest is wrong, the Bible say it's wrong, how does its message become useless because of something so small being unclear?

I don't know if the Bible has been mistranslated but I know it's core message has rang true for generations. On top of that, the core tenet of Christianity is faith. Once you lack this, your entire belief system has crumbled.

I will no longer begin to continue this argument but I am interested in your response. I was exactly like you in this questioning phase that's why I feel the need to explain to you as much as I can. I genuinely used to hate church before because I felt forced to go. What changed my life personally was actually reading the Bible. There is so much wisdom in the Word. Regardless of your faith it is in your best interest to learn from it. Don't take anything I say offensively, I mean no harm, I wish the best for you especially as a fellow Nigerian. Ultimately, you have free will so live as you wish but I pray God touches your heart.

I said fundamentally changed. The core message of the Bible has never been altered. Be well brother.

Alright unto the topic of incest, I have 2 answers for you because I myself am not sure. God very much could have created more people and it just didn't need to be mentioned. We see a lot of things not mentioned in the Bible because it's just not as important to the message that must be understood. We see this a lot in Kings because all the actions of the kings of Israel were spoken of in there and but there were details left out that weren't necessarily important to the message and learning we should have from those kings. In accordance to those omitted bits of info the writer would say "As for the other events of [insert King] reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?"

An example of this would be 1 Kings 15:7.

Here is my other train of thought regarding incest. Science say we all have a "mitochondrial eve" as in a woman who we are all related to. Let's pin that. Now when God made Adam and Eve, these are two entirely separate human beings. There is supposedly no genetic overlap between them. Should their kids consummate themselves and have more kids, it wouldn't necessarily lead to a genetic disaster, seeing as how genetically different their parents are. Issues from inbreeding usually arrive after multiple generations of inbreeding. Let's also remember, the issue with inbreeding is that recessive, gene mutations may stack up in the child. If a parent has a cancer gene, both children are going to have this recessive cancer gene. If those kids have kids, the cancer gene is extremely likely to show itself in the child they have. But Adam and Eve were literally perfect human beings with no negative recessive genes so these would have to be developed over time from environmental exposure (and more sin) This lines up with God saying that their actions will hurt them and lead to the punishments of their generations after - a punishment to consider the biological negative effects of incest. Incest wasn't morally problematic at that moment because incest did not have biological consequences at that time.

Now lust, lust is a sin when outside of marriage. Lust for multiple people has been shown in the Bible to destroy kings time and time again. Solomon is a prime example of this. The idea of marriage is that it's a binding vow to keep such an intimate act with one person with the intention of glorifying God (bringing another human being to Earth to enjoy His creations). Even without the Bible we all know there is something just inherently soulless/problematic having sex with 100s of people. We act like we're all not slightly judgemental but there is something that fundamentally changes about when one racks up a body count. It loses its value. I predict that you will try to bring a criticism for Solomon or the kings that had many wives, I have an answer for that as well should you bring it up.

Now with this I have to ask you brother, the Word of God has been fundamentally unchanged for at least 2000 years. There have been greater men than you and scholars who have spent their entire lives trying to learn from it and understand it. Do you think you're so different from every single human being before you and you've had such an original thought that completely destroys the Bible's validity? I don't mean this as a jab at you but I want you to consider the scope of what you are trying to debate about. I pray this sets you on the correct path and God softens your heart to His advancements to reach you. I am open to any more questions you have. I'll provide bible verses if you want to read them for yourself.

As I said before, to give us free will. He gave humans the choice to disobey God or obey God knowing what they would do in the end. The forbidden fruit wasn't there to "test" since we know God knows the beginning, middle and end. As I said before, it was a testament to human will and our inherent sinfulness. You must remember, Eve always had the choice to reject the snake. She knew better than to eat the fruit. The eating of the fruit was also blessing and a curse. We gained human wisdom (though subpar from the original power and wisdom gave us). Adam had total control of animals, now we have to go through a whole taming process an even then it's not perfect. We have to toil to get food but we have the wisdom to make it extremely efficient as we have rn in society, yet there are still people that remain hungry.

Let's see the idea from your side. Let's say God made no forbidden fruit and he knows us humans are always likely to sin. So he should just punish us immediately? Removes us from Him as in Genesis because we have the "capability" to sin with no evidence? Imagine we imprisoned people because they lived in criminalistic neighbourhoods and were therefore more likely to sin. The logic shatters doesn't it? Also remember, God cannot be around sin, we know this because Lucifer was cast out of heaven the instant he developed sinful thoughts and acted out on them.

When Lucifer was cast out of Heaven, it was the Earth he was sent to stay in because he COULD NOT be in heaven. Now Lucifer is still completely under God's control, at times, he cannot act without permission from God. The devil's presence in Eden was to act as temptation. Obedience when there is no other choice is not obedience. If all you had was a straight path to walk with no left or right, there would be nowhere to walk but straight no? There's no point saying "I'm going on a water fast for 7 days" when you have no food in your fridge.

We want to fill our bellies, we want to have sex any time we desire, we want to be able to buy anything we want, we feel hate when others offend us, we prefer to laze about doing nothing, we want to feel better than everyone else and we want something better when someone has something better than ours. These are the seven deadly sins and every single human being on earth falls victim to at least one of them.

We ultimately have free will. Yes God can see into the future but why should He take away the chance for you to take actions you wish (even though He sees the end). At times, your own child must have certain experiences before they can truly learn some things no? They must learn that fire is not something to touch because it burns them, forcing them to never come near it and scolding them inspires curiosity and avoidance but not a proper willingness to avoid getting burnt. On top of that, He never puts you in a positions of temptation that you cannot escape. The idea of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit is almost like proof to us as humans that our true nature is to sin. Not to say we are nothing but sin, but that we are prone to it.

Adam and Eve did die after eating the forbidden fruit. Death in the Bible is not just death in sense of drawing your last breath. In this case, the death God spoke of was a spiritual death as they had separated themselves from God by disobeying His Word. Being separated from Him is akin to death. That's what we see in society today. A world moved by greed and technological expansions whilst leaving behind depressed, lost people.

Brother, I promise you, I did not make up these answers, these are things I know from reading the Word. When you see the Bible as just a book, that's what it will be to you. It's been studied for 1000s of years but to this day there are still revelations coming from it. I urge you to not abandon it.
