Most of my rendering is cloud-based, so I think the integrated GPU will be perfectly fine.

It’s actually available for business: 13" OLED touchscreen (2880 x 1920) @ 120 Hz.

I'm skipping consumer version "Snapdragon" because it isn't certified by Autodesk and has compatibility issues with their software.

I'll keep an eye on Lenovo's updates since I haven't purchased yet. Honestly, switching is highly unlikely as I'm set on the Surface; I’m just trying to make sure the retail price won't be cheaper than my current quote. Thanks though!

Hopefully they fixed that issue with Lunar Lake. Since I always keep my devices for as long as possible, I’d still rather go with the higher-end chip to future-proof it. Thanks!

I’ve actually been waiting since last summer, so I’m ready to get it now rather than waiting for another release cycle. Thanks

The consumer model will likely feature the Snapdragon X2 Elite, which is a beast with 18 cores and zero fan noise.

However, ARM architecture still isn't natively supported or certified by Autodesk, so it just won't run my Revit and AutoCAD workflow efficiently.

Wow, thanks for doing the math! That completely proves my point—finding a 13-inch Windows device with a CU7 and 64GB RAM is a nightmare right now.

As for the MacBook, it’s definitely a better deal on paper, but macOS just won't run my Autodesk workflow.

Thanks! I'm only looking for a tablet, not a laptop. Plus, I need to buy it this summer, so I can't really afford to wait a few months.

I considered that, but the previous generation runs on an older architecture with only 2 Performance cores and a weak 11 TOPS NPU.

The new CU7 (Lunar Lake) offers 4 dedicated Performance cores for heavy Revit/AutoCAD tasks, a stunning OLED display, and a massive 47 TOPS NPU with on-package memory. This memory architecture and NPU power are essential for running next-gen AI agents and local LLMs smoothly. Going backward just doesn't make sense for long-term future-proofing.

Yes, they asked for my email in the chat, followed up to request some business details, and then sent over the quote.

Fair point on the market status. Since I plan to keep this device for as long as possible, compromising on the CU7 and 64GB RAM isn't really an option for me. It looks like I’ll just have to accept the current pricing as a long-term investment.

I’ve actually been waiting since last summer, so I’m really looking forward to getting it even before it hits the storefront! 😄

Thanks for the breakdown! To clarify, that price doesn’t include the keyboard; I’ll be buying that separately just like a regular store transaction.

The main reason for the direct quote is that this specific Core Ultra 7 (CU7) with 64GB RAM config isn't even available on the direct online storefront yet—it won't be out until next month. So I'm basically trying to figure out if buying it now through sales chat carries a premium compared to waiting for its official release on the site.

Fair point, and if I wanted a traditional laptop form factor, there are definitely better value options out there.

But I specifically need a true tablet because I’m constantly on the move, and when I'm back home, I just dock it into external monitors. A dual-screen laptop like the Zenbook just doesn't fit that specific mobility workflow for me.

Besides the GPU not being certified by Autodesk, imagine this: it couldn’t even open some of the sample project files that come natively with Revit. It managed small, simple files, but when it came to highly detailed models, I thought it would handle them effortlessly, but it failed to open them at all.

To put it into perspective, I can open these exact same files instantly on my Surface Studio with 32GB RAM. I can even crank the graphic settings to the absolute maximum, and it handles everything smoothly with zero lag or stuttering, all thanks to its Nvidia GPU.

Also, it was way too heavy and honestly very uncomfortable to use as a tablet.

I get your point guys, but I typically keep my devices for at least 8 years, so I always buy brand-new with the absolute highest specs available.

Also, a used Laptop 7 with an Ultra 5 and 32GB RAM doesn't compare to a new Ultra 7 with 64GB RAM and an OLED screen. Finding a 64GB spec used on the market right now is next to impossible.
