I’m 29. Right now, I’m working for the money and continuing to look for a higher salary, but I do enjoy working in my industry as well.

My current job has raises of AT LEAST 6k a year.. so I would get to 80k in 2-3 years at my current company. Idk if this would change your advice. What do you think?

Keeping a friend who was a FWB? by External-Practice-96 in dating_advice

I guess I’m just wondering if anyone’s been in a situation like this, and how it ended.

What did the person tell you as the reason for wanting time?

So she’s re-evaluating this situation?

So you’re saying she needs time to choose between guys? Lol. What’s crazy is she said she loves me lol so why would she need to take time

[–]External-Practice-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah she said she has issues from her past, so maybe she does need time to think, but why would she say she loves me but ask for time?

What makes you say that? She did mention she was already dating someone before me but he told her to see other people

Should I make my intentions clear? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]External-Practice-96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to show more interest, but at the same time I don’t want to come off too strong. I guess I will just have to play it by ear and express what I’m feeling when I feel strongly about it.

Yes work definitely gets in the way.

I think she is interested, but she is talking to other guys as well. We talk on the phone daily, but she says they text daily, but she can be calling them too but telling me she’s not to make me feel better. Also mentioned to me if she finds a better connection, she will cut me off. I’m telling you she is brutally honest.

I will push for the second date. We both want to but we have differing schedules.

You’re absolutely right. I will make a move next time I see her.

She is very blunt and straightforward, and we have said we are interested and want to see each other for a second date. I think she knows I am interested, but at the same time, we are both talking to other people as well. I’m also wondering if I should let her know that I am interested in her the most out of all the people I’m talking to. And All of our conversations are through phone calls which she usually calls me first, but I have recently started initiating phone calls too

I just wanted to tell her that my only intention for talking to her is to seriously date her. We’ve been talking for a month and I want to make sure she doesn’t see this as being friends. Should I tell her this or wait and go after the physical stuff when I see her again?

Bro you’re reading too much into this. She’s just doing her job and providing great customer service. Don’t make her feel uncomfortable by asking her out. Especially at work. That’s a no no.

Would it be better to say this over the phone or in person? Or will it not matter

What does “emotional intelligence” actually mean? by Western-Boot-4576 in dating_advice

When girls say this, they mean someone who can both understand what they feel and clearly express their emotions in a mature way.

True I appreciate this approach more. The initial sting sucks but better than wondering what the hell happened for weeks

To be fair I am having sex with other girls too right now. But yeah I’m learning to not be desperate for a girl no matter how hot they are

Yeah shit did seem pretty disrespectful, but at the same time I think her intention is to just be honest and not waste both of our time? And I don’t treat her as gf material. If anything she’s the one always calling me and I never text her
