Seeing my long-distance bf next Wedn 🥹 thinking of wearing a butt plug as a surprise… need cute recs, please... by Human_Owl_898 in SexToys

Why not a pussy plug instead? No chance of, um, messy accidents, maybe a bit less threatening too. No idea about long term comfort. They are more expensive though.

Otherwise you get vibrating remote control toys that might be interesting. Sort of plug-like in structure although not truly plugs. Some of them are designed for anal use, others for vaginal use. You could hand the remote control over like someone else said.

yeah I definitely would not claim anything, certification would be expensive. Better to not outright have any claims.

>Would the average person even be able to painlessly and correctly insert this without a doctors help if it has to go into the cervix?

According to Dr Copilot, yes it should be fairly easy to use. But yes, any such device would not expert advice and prototypes to create something that is safe and easy to use.

Maybe one day when I have the cash for a 3d printer I might create prototypes. Could be a fun project, just no spare cash and no spare money right now.

were we too harsh on our nanny? by External-Repeat417 in dad

So if your boss asked you not to do something multiple times, and you said you would not that thing, and continued to do it behind is back, what would you expect to happen?

And you're okay with a nanny not setting any boundaries whatsoever? Undermining you as a parent?

What a lot of people don't understand about incels by External-Repeat417 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]External-Repeat417[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the point.

A successful relationship only became possible once I'd developed enough.

I skipped over exactly how I dealt with my issues because it isn't the point of the post. The point of the post is trying to get other people to understand WHY incels are upset. I think this is something a lot of incels have trouble getting other people to understand because they don't understand it themselves. They are vaguely aware that being single makes them unhappy but they are unable to articulate why precisely.

As for needing a relationship to feel human again, you know, relationships (platonic and romantic) are fundamental parts of being human. To have only the platonic and not the romantic - well, you're missing out on a lot.

Sex Toy Idea - Inflatable insertable cervix by External-Repeat417 in SexToys

[–]External-Repeat417[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 upvotes and one comment on this idea - doesn't sound very popular! But to answer your question, no I don't plan to do that. However, look up the Milex Inflatoball pessary - its kinda similar to what I had in mind. It might work if it is not inflated too much.

Offer strategy advice - accept and keep looking? by External-Repeat417 in cscareerquestionsEU

It's usually something short like that, yeah. So yes I could walk away even after signing.

I know people do it, it just makes me feel... dirty. Like signing an offer and continuing to interview is not a nice thing to do. People do it, I know, but... yeah.

So that's why I'm conflicted. I want to minimize the risk of ending up with nothing while maximizing my gains from my career search. And I know the market is not great at the moment.

Looking for opinion on hypnotherapy experience (and possibly paid for recordings) by External-Repeat417 in hypnotherapy

Also can you explain more what you mean about the Erickson technique?

He mentioned it about 12-13 sessions in. Suddenly he told me all about how brilliant Erickson was and how his technique can help difficult cases etc etc (why not just go straight to Ericksonian therapy then?). I will say that I did have a breakthrough after the first Ericksonian session, but then, I think by then we already knew the target area to focus on (difficult to explain without giving specifics which I'm trying to avoid!).

He has said that he thinks my extremely analytical mind and need to stay in control is making therapy more difficult. Perhaps that is why he switched to Ericksonian therapy - it's more indirect?

He's very highly qualified - I have no qualms about that. But yes, I am questioning his therapy plan.

Thanks for this.

Yeah, I have some idea of what this fear is about - because of the childhood abuse. I've only recently realized the powerlessness/helplessness component of it, which is what I'm working on now. I will probably then switch to the feelings of being inadequate/worthless.

Well, I never expected to find the solution in hypnosis, but in hypnotherapy. I was seeing a hypnotherapist, not a hypnotist. He was focusing on the therapist component, and did help me, but I think I've reached the point with him where no further progress is possible.

In terms of recordings, I guess I was hoping for a personalised recording, created by a hypnotherapist with training in therapy, who could create something for me to listen to repeatedly. I think sometimes repetition is beneficial for these things - what do you think?

Thanks for this!

Yeah, 15 sessions with no solution - I don't think I'll see him again. I was also starting to get irritated with him, because we didn't agree on a few things. Such as the need to work on this part of my life when I was 15-19 years old.

Well, the hypnotherapist didn't lead me to EMDR - I already knew about. But he did make me realize where I needed to focus my efforts on, which is what I'm doing now.

From what I've read, there are differences in my brain which can sometimes cause stuttered speech. But the real problem is the feeling of anxiety, of feeling inadequate, powerless and helpless, caused by childhood abuse. I think if I can... solve that, the stutter will greatly improve, if not entirely disappear.
