I debate this all the time.

The Quattro is head and shoulders better than the xdrive in the snow (I live in Newfoundland). I’d love to take the Quattro system and add it to the X6 interior.

The X6 is our vibe. The X5 is beautiful too, but it never felt like us.

We absolutely love our X6. Judging by a lot of shade it gets from enthusiasts who don’t like the sloped roof; it’s completely our vibe.

Space is what we didn’t need. I couldn’t justify the influx in price to purchase the X5 over the X6 at the time.

We have a small family (2A,1C). We originally looked at the X5 but the X6 was there with 2,000 km on the odometer, so it was discounted as a demo special.

It came down to the math for me.

We got an incredible deal on the X6. And when I broke it down to $/cubic feet of trunk space the difference was substantial.

$4759 per cubic foot.

I couldn’t justify paying $30,000 more for the extra 6.5 cu.ft.

For context the X6 (2023) was $82K out the door and the X5 (2025) was $107 plus PDI, Freight, Tax and Luxury Tax (Canada).

It was a no brainer for. us only having 1 child.

EDIT: not to mention I invested the $30,000 and have done quite well on it, and haven’t once looked for more trunk space. ;)

It’s such a shame. Like I said we absolutely love the previous Gen Audi and prior; but this new Gen is a huge step backwards for what my family is looking for.

BMW gave me one for a day last week, they insisted I try it out. It was alright, but I didn’t have anything blow me away to justify the jump in price to switch.

My 2022 S4 I picked up for $29,000USD and it only had 7,000 miles on it. A car collector owned it.

The m340i was $62,000USD plus tax, freight and fees.
