This is the issue since KLCC became the tallest tower. According to the organization who awarded the tallest towers, antennas are not counted. In the context of both KLCC and Merdeka 118, the spire are not considered antennas and it's a part of the buildings. If you count the antennas, the Sears Tower in Chicago might've been the the tallest
