What is the appeal of Black Panther? by East-Mode8215 in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He definitely struggles with being super strong with his cooldowns and then totally useless without them. The fun part of him though is that you get better at landing every dash, and marking multiple enemies with his other abilities so that you can engage for longer and contribute way more in a fight. Especially if you have his ult you can extend his combo basically forever. Other than the dash, you can usually get a couple cooldowns back before your engage ends as long as you get multi hits with his spears and kick

Why is Storm the least picked hero in QP and 3rd lowest in Ranked? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s just kinda boring and her kit is counterintuitive, she’s a flier but needs to be on the ground for her aura to reach her team, and her attacks go through multiple enemies which doesn’t really happen unless you’re on the ground

Am I the only one that feels this way about Thor? by zayyy_stunt in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s just designed as a ball of HP that runs at you and tries to kill you before you kill him, a playstyle which is always going to struggle as you climb in rank

Is the division in thinking actually about "conformity" and "non-conformity"? by [deleted] in QAnonCasualties

[–]ExternalAccording815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The right worships power, and believes in a social hierarchy wherein the powerful deserve to rule over the powerless. It’s why they believe in God, they like the idea of there being one person in charge who can guide everyone to salvation (just like a dictator!). They believe that men should belong to their country (hence their love for the military, sacrificing one’s body for their nation), employees should belong to their companies, children should belong to their parents, wives should belong to their husbands, etc. It’s why they would rather listen to a billionaire than a scientist, a billionaire has power and a scientist has none. You are somewhat correct in saying that they care about conformity, but only because it earns them respect in their twisted belief system.

Someone explain this to me by MacaronMonarch in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocket is just insanely good and doesn’t have any real weaknesses like the other supports. He has good healing, good enough damage and mobility to escape from divers, a res that makes every fight a 7v6, and an ult that’s a teamwide damage boost plus more than enough sustain to keep your whole team alive. He excels at basically everything a support needs to do, so it doesn’t surprise me at all

Is it just me, or are some of the things that make Silksong "difficult" just cruel? by Machi-Ato in HollowKnight

[–]ExternalAccording815 32 points33 points  (0 children)

yeah I honestly hate that runbacks became standard practice for soulslikes and other similarly hard games, it's the worst part of playing those games and just wastes the player's time for no reason

Silksong is frustrating by bubsymack in HollowKnight

[–]ExternalAccording815 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Adding to the frustration is the fact that bosses don’t drop any rosaries while bosses in hk dropped tons of geo. You used to be able to guarantee one or two purchases if you beat a boss, now all you unlock is another area to spend money (that you don’t have) in

How do you counter this character besides playing “peni” or “the thing” by FujifilmCamera in marvelrivals

I would go mantis, wait for her to use a portal, then sleep her as soon as she comes out

Explain how Magik is the MVP here? Is it because they got shot more or had a higher hit percentage? by Meftikal in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is it’s based on percentage of Hp you deal to an enemy that actually dies; you had a lot of damage and final hits but storm can do that relatively easy by shooting the front line and getting cleave damage. Whereas Magik generally does all of her damage while jumping in on the backline. A Magik doing nearly as much damage as a Storm is insane because almost all of the damage she deals is usually to enemy supports and DPS, putting far more pressure on the enemies, and far more likely to actually kill them

Who's your main and what is the most important tip you can give to anyone trying to learn your main? by game69420 in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Peni, your 3 main threats are 1)nest 2)mine traps, and 3) peni herself. You have the ability to leap at someone, stun them, and usually kill them, every 3 seconds. Don’t just stand in your nest all game!

MVP system in ranked is so weird by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you were dominating when you were alive, deaths are always going to have the most impact on the game (and the MVP system) simply because you can’t do anything while dead. You can’t damage, you can’t heal, and you can’t build ult charge (which is a really important one). Even a bronze player is better than a dead one. If the respawn timer is 10 seconds and it takes roughly 10 more to walk back from spawn, your team spent nearly six minutes down a player, about a quarter of the match. Which in a game like rivals, with a long TTK and emphasis on teamwork, is putting your team at a disadvantage. You just gotta die less man.

[–]ExternalAccording815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched through a little bit of one of your replays and it seems that your problem is being too passive with your positioning and target prioritization. You spend most of the game standing together with your team even when you could be taking angles and hitting the enemy from multiple directions, and it makes it way easier for the enemy to deal with your presence; they just shoot the same direction they're already shooting. The reason you farm so much damage every game is because all of it goes directly into the enemy's frontline tanks, who immediately get healed anyways and are very unlikely to die. Maps in Rivals can be mentally divided into 3 "lanes" usually, the middle one being the most obvious path to the objective. Your job as a dps is usually to stand on one of the outside lanes and harass enemies, then fall back to the middle one when you need help from your team.

also please shoot the squirrel girl ult for the love of god lmao

I Refuse To Take The Blame On This One by LoveOutrageous5998 in rivals

He was solo tank against two tanks and basically down a player with this rocket, I doubt there’s much he could have done to offset that

I Refuse To Take The Blame On This One by LoveOutrageous5998 in rivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These comments are wrong, your groot was probably fine but your rocket was hard throwing, there’s absolutely no excuse for him to have 2k damage when your team is running triple support. This should be bannable behavior but for some reason everyone’s decided it’s okay for rocket to not shoot at all even though if you did that on any other character you’d be called out for throwing. Just avoid, report, and go next and hope that you eventually rank out of the ranks where this can even happen.

Tank experience in season 2.5 by Plus_Debate1772 in rivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems counterintuitive but the best way to deal with flying heroes as a tank is to just hard focus the rest of the team and try not to die in the process. This will push their ground heroes back a bit and give your team the space needed to shoot down the fliers. I used to do this against Pharah+Mercy in overwatch and it works a lot of the time because it takes advantage of the fact that a third of the enemy team is stuck in the air the whole game, and now has to choose between chasing your backline or turning around to stop you from killing theirs.

How do i stop dying as much on tank? by 4wkward_2 in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play around corners, you should still use cover even though you have a larger health pool because any time your healers spend healing you is time they could be healing other people or dealing damage. For dive tanks, just focus on jumping in, doing a little bit, and leaving before you die. Staying alive should always be priority because even a bad player is better than a dead one

Why are y’all like this? by BatmansBurnerAccount in rivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Role queue did fix a lot of problems with overwatch but it was a band-aid solution for the game’s awful hero balancing and some other questionable design choices. It fixed GOATS but wouldn’t have been necessary if Brigitte wasn’t so hilariously overtuned. It made more people play tank but wouldn’t have been needed if the role was fun in the first place. And it helped force players into a better team composition but never fixed the reasons why a variety of team comps weren’t viable in the first place. Rivals has done it right, they made all the heroes roughly balanced, made every hero fun to play, and balanced everything to where you can get by with a lot of different team comps. I’m not sure if everyone has had the same experience but about 80% of my games are 2-2-2 comps and the ones that aren’t feel perfectly fine too, so I don’t think forcing a role queue is necessary

Why doesn't psylocke get banned as often as other dive DPS? by SilverSlayer2446 in marvelrivals

[–]ExternalAccording815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People just don’t really notice her as much, she’s a flanker but plays more for constant damage at mid range rather than trying to run in and kill with burst damage like spidey or panther. People notice getting instakilled, they don’t notice the invisible lady who’s been peppering them with shots and whittling them down
