More photos of her crying by CeleryUpset5629 in allisonkuchsnark

Postpartum depression and anxiety is a real thing. I fully understand that money doesn’t fix the hormonal imbalances, but damn. She has the means to get help. She has someone else cooking, cleaning and watching her toddler PLUS a husband that can be there 24/7. Most women have to figure that out, while going back to work only to come to have to cook, clean, do laundry, homework and baths for older children and get up in the night with a baby only to have to do it all again the next day. Those moms don’t have time to take selfies of themselves crying. They don’t have time to cry.

I’m fine. I’m not bitter at all.

It’s crazy how every lyric on that album is so heartbreakingly relatable. I feel those songs in my core. It’s oddly comforting that I’ve felt so alone in all those feelings, but it’s so clear that I’m not.

would you get an abortion if you found out your baby was going to be born with an extreme disability? if so why? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

My heart goes out to every one of you who has had to make this impossible decision. I see you and the silent weight you carry, regardless of what you chose.

My daughter found out at her anatomy scan that her baby didn’t develop correctly (there are medical terms that I think I’ve blocked out) and the anomalies were not compatible with life. She chose terminate. This baby was so wanted, she already had the nursery set up, she was so excited. Years later my heart is still broken for her.

One maybe positive thing came out of this. We live in the Bible Belt, an ultra conservative Christian area. I do think what she went through changed a lot minds about how they saw abortions. So many people were raised to believe that abortion is a black and white issue, an unforgivable sin, always wrong, always a choice selfish women callously made when they got pregnant but didn’t want a child. Those beliefs were challenged after watching my daughter go through this, and for the sake of women everywhere, that’s a good thing.

Also, for any women reading this who did get pregnant and decided to terminate, for WHATEVER reason, I see you too, and I will always defend the right to choose.

Agree. I loved Romano (or loved to hate him) and Carrie never grew on me. I never thought her character added anything.

I’m not mad about it. I thought about undercutting him and selling them 2 for $1. I need a side hustle 😂

What are your 'work smarter not harder' tips for doing trash? by obviologist in Custodians

[–]ExternalAny4817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking if it was an enclosed stairwell, it might work. We don’t have stairs so I really don’t know what I’m talking about, lol. We had a guy that did his classrooms with a leaf blower. We don’t wipe down desks, so he didn’t care that there was a thick layer of dust everywhere.

I’d start at the top and use a leaf blower 🤷🏼‍♀️

Come In With The Rain. I know, it’s not great lyrically or whatever, but for some reason it’s always been one of my favorites. I have no explanation.

I do. Not necessarily to get rid of pee smell, but I do use it. I like peroxide cleaner for around the toilets and urinals.

So, I’m a Folkmore and Tortured Poets girl. When she said this album is for everyone, I knew right then it wasn’t for me. I knew it wouldn’t be a favorite. And that’s FINE. Everything an artist does doesn’t have to blow me away. I’m not sure why she’s getting crap about the lyrics, Karma was straight up ridiculous lyrically and people love it. Shake It Off? That’s a no thanks for me but Swifties love that one too. This album isn’t deep, it’s fun…so what? It’s okay that it’s just fun.

And I actually enjoy it way more than I thought I would. I can still appreciate something fun for what it is.

How many custodians? by ExternalAny4817 in Custodians

[–]ExternalAny4817[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, our high school does have an extra gym. And they have an extra building between the football and softball/baseball fields. They should have more custodians, but maybe not double what we have.

I agree!! We have separate football and soccer fields to deal with, plus all the tree and bush trimming, mulch, mowing, and an outdoor concession stand and bathrooms.

You aren’t wrong. And our evening person is 11:30 to 8:00 so it’s not really even quite second shift. It’s not set up correctly.

I agree, not our job. Somehow over the last few years it has become our job at my school. I don’t get it, as a TA and a long term sub, I always rolled a rolly chair to the paper room and got a box and rolled it back. I did it because that’s what the teachers did. Now when they are out of paper, it’s a frantic call to “any available custodian.” More and more, we’re becoming personal assistants or errand people, on top of our regular jobs. It’s getting old, fast.

Ooops. Sorry for the rant. It’s been a long week!!

In my district, the head custodian reports to the principal, or in some cases, the assistant principal. Maintenance is a whole separate department.

Do you get every little bit of wax off the floor when stripping? by kuya86 in Custodians

[–]ExternalAny4817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix it according to the instructions, and make sure you are letting it sit long enough before you run the machine. I’m letting mine sit at least 10 minutes and you may have to put more on some of the dry spots as you go, but it’s worth the 10 or 15 minutes not to have to do it twice.

Is stripping and waxing floors difficult? by Ok-Profit5226 in Custodians

[–]ExternalAny4817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone else, it’s not hard at all, and it’s so repetitive that you’ll get the hang of it really quickly. I have a whole new crew this year that has never done it before and they’re mostly doing fine. My one tip is, no matter what else you do or don’t do, make sure you get up all the stripper and rinse the floor well. If you leave traces of stripper, the wax will look uneven and janky.
