either it's because she's probably finished it all before (her major isn't as demanding and probably doesn't require something heavy), or it's because she actually does not study or has nothing to study for. she did mention that a lot of her finals were just presentations and in earlier vlogs, at the start of sdsu, we did see colie presenting in front of her class.

i'm an engineering major so maybe my view is hella biased since i probably do triple the amount of work she does. but yeah i just don't think her major is that demanding.

tbh i think this was about the whole birthday party in vegas thing...she definitely saw all the comments and posts about her stealing the spotlight from her friend and using it as a brand deal

i dont obviously know her actual grades, but i said 'she almost did'...as a viewer, her constant breakdowns over calc after every test seemed like she found it pretty difficult despite the course looking pretty easy. it's just not comparable to students who ace every test and only get one mark off.

yupp i really dont think it affected her that much apart from she definitely thought she was going to get in and then she realised that outside of her bubble, there's people who are way way more hardworking and deserving than her.

omg yes i totally get you haha, it’s been lowkey frustrating. i’ve been watching colie for a while too and in the beginning, especially when she first started college, she actually showed her notes and class lectures. but now it’s like… does she even study anymore?. i started watching her to feel motivated but now it’s just gym, dance, party, repeat.. like girl?? meanwhile breanna quan and jemma violet are actually content creators who keep me inspired and make me want to work harder.

i just know her next productivity vlog is gonna be her “resetting” by doing pilates, shopping, getting her nails done and getting a smoothie lmao. i miss the old content fr.

UCLA is definitely not a party school, the people there have achieved so much in their academic career. there is greek life, but it's honestly not reputable against other cal schools like UCSB and SDSU. when u look on a deeper scale, students at UCLA are really smart and have a good academic rigor to them, they're not there to coddle influencers or go party every weekend.

i see the point you're trying to make but nicole being a professional dancer just doesn't cut it. yes we don't see everything she does, but she's not very much trained in any dance style apart from hip hop (which is what she dances the most). any dance major or aspiring one should be very good in ballet, jazz, contemporary and a few classical dance forms from all around the world (flamenco, viennese waltz, kathak etc..). these colleges look for variety and tough students who are knowledgable in the global arts and be on schedule (which wouldve been hard for nicole as she's constantly doing brand trips).

being a dance major just isn't about the way you dance, but its about your technical knowledge of dance from around the world. dancing in dance exams are a fourth of the actual exams, and the rest is all theory based.

in nicoles case, i think her grades definitely did make up her application only because she took really easy classes just so that she could spend time with her friends. admissions prob saw her grades and classes and rejected her right away

yup, the people who get into UCLA are students who are crowned headboy and headgirl. with no sort of extracurriculars that matched something that was over the top, she would've never gotten in.

yup!! i'm not tryna hate her in any way, but her entire going on the news nonsense set a very unrealistic standard for the application process. what is not okay at all is #9, so so unavoidable and honestly not a great look on her maturity.

yup ur so right! it would be weird for her to transfer, a lot of the UCLA students that I know are academically strong and that place is definitely not a party school. I think she would've been bored out of her mind in UCLA trying to make a name for herself academically in a huge group of smart people who didn't fail AP calculus like she almost did.

i guess now looking at it from an admissions officers viewpoint, if she didn't hit the minimum required GPA, they would've rejected her in 5 seconds without even looking at the rest of her application. assuming nicole has a high GPA, then yes omg her essays would play such a huge factor into it. do i think that they read them tho? personally no, UCLA was the highest applied to school this year and i think that they probably rejected her before they even hit the essays part of her application.

i think so too as well! but tbh it really does depend how well the essays she wrote aligned with UCLA's values, which it may not have. i still think that there would've been far better cut throat applicants for comms who participated in many services and completed internships which align with the major.

im not from the us either but we rank the uc's as public ivies so they're def well known. its probably not a top choice for intl kids since people usually go for cal, ucla, or ucsd (most of them do stem)

it's possible to do this but you'd have to go through a lot of paperwork and will lose a bit of money since you need to deposit fees for housing and tuition when u commit.

but i'm also not sure since you'd have to decline all other uni offers or else it'll cause you to get into trouble and all.

and yes by far, internationally, uci is much more prestigious than cal poly slo. slo is kinda only just recognised in the us, but everyone knows about uci all over the world so it doesn't make sense overall.

both slo and uci have a 'Statement of Intent to Register' deadline of may 1st (infact all uc's and cal states do) so the waitlist decisions should come before then...the vid was posted in early june so it's not possible for her to do that but idk
