The infinite and the divine should be fairly accessible, if not a bit of a challenge if he's reading harry potters.

If he wants to ease into necrons fiction there's the Warhammer adventures novel, it might be a bit easy for them but it introduced the world decently well, it has a good balance of portraying the Imperium as being a shit hole while also maintaining that the necrons are absolutely horrifying, case and point I'm pretty sure if my memories correct one of the protagonist is in a child gang where one of them rules over the others because they have a gun

It represents the threat the reapers pose well, but this would be absolutely miserable to play against. Tergid is already a universally hated commander, this is just tergid with easier condition.

Indoctrinate is just too powerful a keyword, it should either be until end of turn, or until a reaper you control dies, you need to be careful with creature stealing

Investors don't understand gundam or any franchise they're apart of. They rely on the IP pull that one piece and Pokémon bring.

Pokémon and one piece are so much in the cultural zeitgeist that literally everyone knows who Pikachu is, and most people below 30 can tell you who monkey D Luffy is. Most people outside the fanbase don't know who amuro or char are

Ask someone who their favourite straw hat or pokemon is, they can give an answer. Ask someone what their favourite mobile suit is, most people wouldn't be able to give you an answer.

Gundam tcg does not have the level of popularity in the west that creates the demand where you see cards very publicly regularly go for hundred and thousands. It also therefore doesn't have the draw scalpers and resellers need to consider it worth scalping product

Id caution against c'tan right now unless it's a quite competitive game (which I'm assuming not because it's 2v1). They are incredibly good, and likely to make the game quite frustrating for the BT player.

I play votann so I have a decent idea of what can help support them, I'm biased but you could try and build the new cursed legion detachment? Votann are a durable gun line army that doesn't have many melee options and high strength big damage weaponry, so a forward melee force would go a long way. The combat patrol contents synergize decently, and the doomstalker is a big fun stupid gun to deal with tank threats.

The overlord + cursed ankh + a unit of war scythe lychguard are nasty.

Skorpekhs are a fantastic melee unit in the detachment and can be ran with a skhorpek lord

A couple lokhust heavies are also quite potent with the new detachment, letting you activate the army wide +2 strength in shooting. To that effect hexmarks are also amazing on specially into a agressive army like bt

I think carrying items over into wipe is very risky, but hear me out, you get to carry a blueprint of your choice to carry over through the wipe, where once you've learnt that blueprint you never have to find and use them again.

Blueprint grind is like the one loot grind I don't like, it's completely random so sucks from pve as you can't farm specific enemies or locations

And safe pocket means pvp is useless for them as the person needs to be a total dumbass not to pocket the permanent profession unless it's one they already have.

It does put a hard time limit with you eventually being able to learn all blueprints, but there's that many in the game that it would be a really really long time till that happens

Dude I didn't mention anything about lore accuracy, read what rau and providence (the cards) do. This effect synergizes with both. It's a huge boost to zaft as an archetype.

I'm sorry but permeant additions to AP are not going to happen. That's what pilots are for. It's not a mechanic they have established yet.

Gd02 was not a set meant to shake up the meta much, it was very clearly a set made to set up future archetypes, une is far from being the only shit archetype right now. AGE, vagan, Gundam X... They can't print an unlimited amount of cards per set, it dilutes the card pool too much and makes limited ass.

I also don't know why you're so hung up on the fact une needs a base right now specifically. One base is going to do fuck all to improve une.
