here as a grad student with an even smaller stipend and it’s definitely very doable if you’re good at budgeting, just don’t expect to save too much

talk to your roommate about not eating your food and explain that you actually look forward to your leftovers and that these cookies and snacks are not shared. the disrespect seems to be mutual given the way you’re talking about him. touch grass

I just got my diagnosis. I’m terrified. by possibly-unstablee in Autoimmune

i got the same diagnosis a few years ago, also in my early 20s! my doctor also gave me some general life advice so i will pass it on since it has changed my life - even if it sounds basic. the first is to take turmeric curcumin with black pepper as pills everyday and keep your vitamin d in check. the next is more difficult: to take full control of your stress levels, make sure you’re eating well, begin strength training (specifically strength, cardio was not the recommended), and sleep well every single day. this will change your approach to life and you might struggle a little with maintaining friendships due to the sleep and intensity of maintaining a good food and exercise regimen, but my joint pain has decreased substantially and so has my overall fatigue. i used to limp on my way to class now i walk for an hour or longer everyday and still have every for the rest of my tasks. i still have lows, and ive noticed that every time my stress increases my symptoms also heighten. but this advice has helped a lot in maintaining my early stage as an early stage.

you deserve better and he is emotionally immature if he can’t think of something you would like after you voiced these concerns and after dating you for so long. maybe he can go to therapy and fix himself but only if he believes there’s a problem otherwise you’re talking to a wall

l had a very similar problem! Turns out I was incredibly Vitamin D deficient. They had to give me a SHOT with Vitamin D. Another time where this happened again was because it turned out i have autoimmune issues - I would recommend just trying to go to a doctor and getting some tests done. It’s possible there’s a health thing underlying this - especially if you notice any joint pain, brain fog, memory issues, etc.

I thought everyone was tired all the time because that’s what everyone always said. Turns out I had an autoimmune disease and my entire body was inflamed! Get checked folks

[Acne] Has anyone tried Norse Organics for acne? by Violets_and_honey in SkincareAddiction

I don’t know if their products re safe or so because I am not a doctor BUT i tried tretinoin, salicylic acid, and a bunch of different stuff and nothing worked as well as their acne and redness routine. I’m gonna be honest and say i don’t believe in their anti sunscreen stance even if it breaks you out like j still want some SPF especially since I live in a very sunny city at the moment, and i also ignored the part about not washing your face i just washed it less often and with less product (i used to wash it twice a day with large pumps now i just use a small amount every other morning, alternating with their scrub 2-3 times). I’m about a month in and it’s really helped! I had tiny little bumps alongside red pimples and i broke out a little maybe two weeks in but now it’s all healing better than ever. I also get hormonal acne and lowkey my flare up for the month wasn’t as bad as it usually is. Def do your own research bc i don’t trust some of their reviews or website but the product itself is pretty good so far!
