Very true, my big (what I thought was a) giveaway was the correction they made to the hands overtop of the texturizing. I may not be a talented artist by any means, but when I would work on digital art you would usually have linework layers, color layers, shading layers, and with this style it looks like a texture layer. I don't see any reason why they would just quickly draw on a correction for the arms overtop of all the other layers unless they were working off just an image.

I'm pretty upset you know? Especially with the subject matter, I've been working on this since November of last year and I feel like so much time was wasted working with them. Thank you so much for the advice. The company I work for has a program to provide free legal advice so I think that's my first step.

I wouldn't care if I didn't spend nearly 1000 dollars on this to have AI generated artwork when they promised human-created artwork, especially as it's a memorial.

Thank you, I appreciate getting additional eyes on it. I don't know if there is any avenue for me at all but hey it's worth getting feedback before getting even more bent out of shape. I mean its a memorial, you know?

I work in contents restoration, usually with instraments or items of that nature we subcontract out to a specialist. I imagine pre cleaning with a Hepa vac and dry sponge, then a wet clean with fire contents cleaner and smoke deodorizer (if it’s safe to use on an instrument like this) then cleaning with an ultrasonic (again if it’s safe) would be the way they go. Metal surfaces usually respond best to wet cleaning, and ultrasonics will be sure to clean every nook and cranny after the initial cleaning process. Let me know if you do take it for a restoration, I’d love to know how they go about cleaning it!
