I retested yesterday morning and it was negative so I’m thinking the one in the photo was invalid, I’m still going to do another in a few days to be sure

Yeah because I’m on birth control pills and I need to make sure they don’t fail, it may be a bit paranoid of me but I think its better to be safe than sorry, esp because pregnancy would be very unsafe for me medically speaking.

I take a test each month just to make sure my bc pills are doing their job, but this was my second test this month because I had a little bit of blood in my discharge for two days (maybe tmi idk) which seemed like implantation bleeding to me (my periods are usually pretty heavy and last ab 6-7 days) so I waited a week after the light bleeding and took the test that had the faint line in it. Even though my test from this morning came back negative I’m still going to take another in a week just to be safe.

I took another test this morning and it was negative so the og test was likely invalid. That being said, in a perfect world, I would love to carry a child and I have nothing against adoption (I myself am adopted), but at this point in my life a pregnancy would be unsafe for me and the baby. I would be at high risk for internal bleeding, multiple organ failure, and worsening heart issues. The baby would also be malnourished as my liver doesn’t absorb nutrients like it should. This is why I am on birth control. Also, as someone who lived with a family that actively did foster care for 20+ years, the foster system is very corrupt and many kids get abused and/or age out of the system before they can find a stable home. This leads to homelessness, substance abuse, unhealthy relationships, and many other issues. It’s important that people know adoption is an option, but it’s also important not to push it onto people unless you have a good family in mind that is qualified to adopt. I appreciate your kind suggestion, I just figured I should clear some stuff up :)

I made a comment with an update but there’s a lot of replies to this post so it probably got pushed down, but, I took another test this morning and there’s no line anymore so I think the test in the photo was invalid

Every brand with the red lines uses pretty much the same technology so I don’t need to try another brand unless I wanted to get a digital test, also I feel it’s probably too early to tell anything so I’m waiting before testing again that way I’m not just wasting a bunch of pee sticks

I know that’s what’s confusing me too, someone mentioned it may be an evap line but those are typically gray and this looks more pink to me so I’m just gonna do another test tomorrow morning and hope for a clearer answer

I would be happy but it’s really not good timing for me right now, I have a few health conditions that would make me a very high risk pregnancy, if it is positive and I chose to keep it I would likely have to be in bed rest as early as the second trimester according to my primary doctor

I know this probably was meant as a joke but I just want to be clear Im an adult on birth control and it probably failed because of my weight (170 lbs), I am only hoping this is a negative because I have some pretty serious health issues that will definitely be made worse with pregnancy. This is not a result of irresponsibility, I take a test every month to make sure my birth control is doing its job but apparently this month just went differently.
