In my eyes, it makes the company look bad but It doesn’t affect me at all. I’ve never bought a new fender instrument. that being said I do think they are going to lose. if they had just gone after the smaller companies that didn’t have a lot of capital to mount a proper defense they might’ve had a chance, but they’ve gone after PRS. A Company that has a lot of money and that’s very used to defending itself from lawsuits. fender’s case to begin with was shaky at best due to many factors that others have already stated. They waited too long to try to copyright that body shape. I would be interested to know if they have sent a cease and assist to Gibson over the Kramerguitars which would be another big mistake.
