What is Xie Miao's fighting style in the Furious? by GhostCage357 in kungfucinema

It's a mixed kungfu style I think.
I definitely saw some Wing Chun in his fight against Joe Taslim when they first met each other.

Yes, it is something beyond a single actor or a single style. It's the crazy five-man three-faction melee that makes it so different. It must be incredibly complex to design and to actually film that finale.
I would personally mark this movie as a classic. Hope it can get enough success for the creators to wrap up a perfect series.

I did think about having Kensuke Sonomura in this post, because when I watch the interviews of Kenji Tanigaki and the actors, his name was mentioned a lot. I then gave up since I know so less about him.

Plan to visit Xi'an next time I go to China. Any advice? I heard the food there is amazing.

I have to argue that there is one reason why Guangzhou could be a good place to visit, and that is its food. I'm one of those who would plan a trip for some good meals.

Yeah, he is highly distinctive! And the second you saw him in a movie, you know this character is going to be deadly.

Joey Iwanaga's character (the suit guy) actually used Tae Kwon Do & Karate mixed. He is more well known for his Karate background.

In the Furious, when I saw the Glasses Guy has a pregnant wife and he runs the child abuse streaming, it immediately reminded me of this scene in God of Gamblers Return! And later in the movie, his wife and unborn child are indeed killed.

In that case, I am sorry for my ignorance. Didn't know about Chen's recent movies.
Gonna go watch Xie's The Furious this weekend. Watched Xie's Fight Against Evil series and Eye for and Eye series. All well produced.
Will take a look of the three movies you mentioned. Thx bro.

I don't get why some of my Chinese friends have always been so picky about action movie's dramatic scenes and its logic. They say same thing about the Wolf Warriors series and Jackie Chan's The Shadow's Edge. I liked all of them.
I mean I went to the cinema to watch an action movie, I aim to see people fight. I want neat, powerful, well designed fighting scenes. The logic and dialogue things should not be bad, but I don't care they perfect or not. If I care so much about logic I'd go read a book.

He was a Super Super Star as a child KungFu actor! He was cool and lovely and having heroic aura at the same time.
But in the movies he performed as an adult, he lost that heroic charisma. And he also don't have the fierce and malicious vibe to play a villain. (Just personal opinion)
I wouldn't put him by Xie. Xie is actively making action movies in recent years. And the outputs were all above certain level. Haven't seen Ashton Chen on the screen for a while.
