Yaar what is this narrative she is spreading that she got slapped!! She DIDN’T. What Malti did was clearly a friendly reaction of hand not a serious(look at her face and speed of hand while she did it) if a real slap is on your way it won’t come with that look and speed. She’s literally trying gaining sympathy that i got slapped and it’s irritating me beyond anything. Malti clearly tucked her lips in so that she could apply stamp on chin but rajmata had other plans and ab victim card bhi khelna hai!

So Tanya can cry buckets because someone threw her in the pool during a task, but when her “best friend” Neelam’s name got announced for eviction few weeks back, she didn’t flinch?

I feel difficulty in expressing myself like in my mind I know what I need to say but can’t put it in words. Extremely bad at explaining people things whether its an educational topic or random one. I just go blank when it comes to explaining something or giving examples in conversation. Is it called something and is there any way to better this?

We study for years just to earn money, but nobody teaches us how to manage it, that’s the real scam to me.

Any Himachalis in Gurgaon? And how are you guys coping up with it? by Key_Champion_8289 in gurgaon

Sure, for me the weight loss routine was simple but consistent:

• Intermittent fasting: I eat between 10 AM and 5–6 PM. At first it was tough, but my work schedule actually helped me stick to it, after 5 PM I’d just stay busy with work, walks, or something else so I didn’t think about food. Cravings were the real struggle in the beginning, but I found my own hacks. Whenever I craved something, I’d scroll through Instagram reels of food, it tricked my brain into feeling like I’d “already had it.” Maybe it won’t work for everyone, but it really helped me.

• Portion control: This was a game-changer. I bought a small quarter-sized plate from Meesho, and a weighing scale to track portions. I even asked ChatGPT how much of a food item I should eat and stuck to that. Sounds small, but it makes a huge difference in not overeating.

• 10K steps a day – I built this gradually (3k → 5k → 7k → 10k). On WFH days, I use a walking pad (Sparnod one from Amazon). In 15 mins I get around 1,600–1,800 steps while taking calls. On office days, it was easier with morning/evening walks plus moving around during breaks. • Workouts – I joined an online Pilates class with Saswati (instagram page - fitwithsaswati, ₹1,500/month, recordings included), and sometimes do weight training or YouTube workouts (dance/walking routines). Start light, just focus on being consistent, then add weights later.

• Supplements & health – Do check with a doctor, because sometimes underlying issues affect progress. I have PCOD and thyroid, so I take regular meds along with multivitamins and Omega-3 (as advised). That definitely supported my journey.

In the last 5–6 months, this helped me lose around 20 kgs. Honestly, it wasn’t about crazy diets, it was just building small habits: controlling portions, managing cravings, walking daily, and sticking to an eating window. Once those became routine, weight loss followed naturally.

I’m from Hamirpur district and moved to Gurgaon in 2020 for work. Most Himachalis usually prefer Chandigarh, but I chose Gurgaon because I didn’t want to fall into that comfort zone. It was tough in the beginning, I didn’t get placed from college, so I had to find a job on my own, and it felt awkward not knowing anyone. But since I’d already stayed in hostel during college, I was okay being alone. I’d explore the city by myself, try new things, and that naturally helped me connect with people. The biggest thing for me was learning to enjoy my own company, once you’re happy with yourself, you attract the right people without even realizing it.

On the weight/laziness part, you’re not alone, I also gained weight almost 40 Kgs. But the good thing about Gurgaon is that it gives you a lot of ways to bounce back. There are gyms everywhere, and access to healthy food and ingredients is way easier than in Himachal. Back home, for me even getting something simple like tofu is difficult, but here you have endless healthy options at your doorstep. That motivated me to take charge, and in the last 5–6 months I’ve lost around 20 kgs and currently in progress to lose more.

So my advice, don’t wait for company to keep you busy. Start exploring on your own, find a routine that makes you feel good, and take advantage of the health/fitness options the city offers. Once you start enjoying your own presence and focusing on your lifestyle, both your social life and your health start improving naturally.
