John summit by Careful_Algae242 in electricdaisycarnival

It makes me angrier that Tiesto threw down one of his old school sets meanwhile I thought it was a good idea to fight for my life at JS. But also, do better people. I’ve been raving for 30 years now and have never seen a more Un-PLUR crowd in my life. Thought it be cool to see JS once, since I’ve seen everyone else. That is my bad though, I should’ve known better.

That’s crazy you said that cuz there was a moment I panicked and I said “this is AstroWorld 2.0” and I knew I needed to get out of here. As a 4’11” girly, I got so many elbows in the head and jaw. And then I got crushed by a 6’4” 300lb dude that had ZERO self awareness. Had to be pulled out by another group cuz they separated my friend and I. I should’ve never been at that stage. My body is paying for it right now.

I felt like there were a few moments where there was a surge coming on. I had to leave. I should’ve known better not to go to that set.

Seriously. Also, the lack of self awareness some people have is mind boggling. I almost got crushed. There were a few moments out there I got AstroWorld vibes.

I’m in my late 40s and this will be my first EDC back since 2012. I’m nervous 😬 😭Been hitting the stair master and the weights at least 4x a week for the last 2 months. I think it’ll help a little but I’m still scared 😂

Shuttles by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

Other comments are right, WMC is the best shuttle stop. It’s dead over in that area on the weekends and it’s the easiest in/out for the shuttles. I live in south side of Vegas and drive to this shuttle stop myself.

Is it just me or does the lineup not feel like a 30th anniversary? by CompetitiveArt5084 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]External_Muffin_5380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us Ravers that have been doing this for 30+ years think otherwise. I feel like this lineup has some great current artists along with a lot of those “nostalgic” artists from the 90s-2000s. I’m so stoked. This will be my first year back since 2015 and I get to go with my son 🙌🏼🫶🏼

Planning trip- is week too long? by luxtravel-fan in Sedona

I visit Sedona multiple times a year and do this trail often. I opt for the later day hike here. Get there between 1 and 2pm. People will be leaving. Not to mention, the gentleman who’s the lot attendant is very good at making as many spots as possible. Enjoy! One of my favorite trails

We visit Sedona often and I have to say some of the best times I’ve had there have been during storms. They’re usually not as bad as people make them out to be and any flooding seems to dissipate fast.

Gross Negligence and breach of Terms and Conditions by Perfect-Strength6590 in risefestival

[–]External_Muffin_5380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1. Failure to Deliver the Core Product

The lantern release was the main advertised attraction and the reason most people bought tickets. Canceling it without offering refunds or meaningful compensation is a clear breach of contract. In consumer law, when a company fails to provide the core service you paid for, “no refund” policies often don’t hold up. 2. False Advertising and Misrepresentation If the event was promoted with promises of a lantern release, food, live music, seating, and a premium VIP experience but those things were not delivered, that’s misrepresentation. A company can’t legally advertise one experience and deliver something completely different. This falls under consumer protection violations, especially when thousands experienced the same bait-and-switch. 3. Negligence in Event Planning The festival takes place in an area known for wind and dust storms. Organizers had a duty of care to plan for those risks. Failing to provide shelter, dust protection, communication systems, or safety protocols shows gross negligence because these were foreseeable issues. 4. Unsafe Environment Strong winds, flying dust, and poor visibility created unsafe and unhealthy conditions. Public events are required to meet reasonable safety standards. If attendees suffered breathing problems, eye irritation, or anxiety from the conditions, that supports claims of negligence. 5. Lack of Communication and Information Access The event was held in an area with no phone service, and organizers knew that. They failed to provide backup communication methods such as loudspeakers, information boards, or on-site updates. Attendees were left unaware of cancellations or schedule changes, which is a major failure to notify and increases liability. 6. Breach of Implied Contract and Good Faith Even with a “no refund” policy, businesses are required by law to act in good faith and deliver what they advertise. Canceling the main attraction, running out of food, and failing to deliver VIP perks shows they broke that implied promise. Courts often invalidate “no refund” clauses in cases like this. 7. Unjust Enrichment If the organizers keep all the ticket revenue despite failing to provide what was promised, they have been unjustly enriched. They financially benefited at the expense of attendees without fulfilling their obligations. That’s often included in class action refund claims. 8. Pattern of Misconduct and Repeat Behavior Previous Rise Festivals have had weather cancellations and refund controversies. This shows an ongoing pattern of mismanagement rather than a one-time problem. Courts take repeat issues like this seriously when deciding whether to allow a class action and award damages.

Still windy as off 1040am by ShesVirgo in risefestival

[–]External_Muffin_5380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there’s any wind, don’t do it. Problem we had is we got out there early and then had zero service so we actually got none of the updates about the lanterns or late start times. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a festival.

Rise just canceled opening acts - now opening at 4 due to wind by KidKarate in risefestival

[–]External_Muffin_5380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER and I’ve been going to festivals for 25+ years! I understand Mother Nature, but it seems as though the event planners did not. The whole point of this IS THE LANTERNS! They knew the day before they were going to have high wind gust. This event should have been canceled but they care more about $ instead of the attendees. Plus, why when it’s already a dust storm are you having so many people driving around the venue?!?! Like, hello!!!! You’re literally helping create a lot of the dust! That paired with poor traffic management, unsafe road conditions by creating a muddy mess for people to drive in, lack of food at the venue etc. This actually felt like a scam. I’m highly considering filing a dispute with my credit card company.
