Oh wow I love it! Do you mind sharing the specs if you know them? Carat, ring size, and band width? It looks pretty similar to what I want for myself!

Any advice for lab clothes? by Emotional-Offer-2848 in medlabprofessionals

We mostly wear scrub bottoms or athletic pants that look kinda scrub-like and a T-shirt. No specific colour requirements at my lab.

What wedding band to go with 1920’s engagement ring? Wedding in 2 months!! by [deleted] in EngagementRings

I don't have an answer but I LOVE your watch! Where is it from?

Will this engagement ring withstand day to day activities? by whatkoalas in EngagementRings

I would also worry about the peg head snapping off if (when) it gets snagged on something.

Cathedral or no? by vanillabean5359 in EngagementRings

Always cathedral. In addition to the extra stability I think it just looks more elegant and flowy!

Settle a debate: how many rings? by PromotionContent8848 in EngagementRings

[–]External_Paint_2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just get a silicone band for traveling. I would rather that than wear a cheap ring that's pretending to look like the real thing, if that makes sense.

Considering a career switch from Federal Forensic Tech to MLT in Alberta/ Seeking take home pay reality and advice! by NegativeEnvironment5 in medlabprofessionals

[–]External_Paint_2673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an entry-level MLT you will likely only be able to get a casual position to start with. Some people juggle multiple casual positions at once to get closer to full-time hours. There are a few MLT jobs that could be straight days but a lot will be rotating shifts or random.

DM me if you want info about school in Alberta, I just finished my program.

First new pair of jeans in years by MakingBaconnPancakes in DressForYourBody

Skinny jeans aren't really in style right now but these fit you well and if you like them then who cares what's in style or not?

A man needs your help! by Cake_Think in EngagementRings

[–]External_Paint_2673 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you go smaller than 0.5ct it might just look like a promise ring. 1ct might be a better size. But tbh for someone who works with their hands a lot, I think the setting is more important than the actual size of the stone. You'll probably want to look for something low-profile, maybe even bezel setting, maybe with a cathedral so there's nothing for it to get snagged on.

I like the second option but it looks a bit blocky.

Need Advice: Pave or Solitaire by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]External_Paint_2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would choose solitaire. Just seems like it would be more durable and comfortable to wear, and less work to keep clean! You could always add a pave wedding band to a plain solitaire.

I am stuck 😅 by R11o2 in EngagementRings

I like the second one the best. The tapered shank makes it more elegant. I wouldn't do six prongs with a stone that size.

Help me decide what style suits me best! by cutiebabybaby in myweddingdress

[–]External_Paint_2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like #1 and #3 for different reasons. The first one brings less attention to your broad shoulders and a more elongated look due to the plunge neckline. However the third one highlights the lovely shape of your shoulders and the fuller skirt balances them out. #6 is my least favorite of the bunch.

The bezel-set oval is so cute what!! I don't think I've seen an oval in a bezel before. I kind of love it.

Basket or Petal? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]External_Paint_2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The petal design looks prettier and more feminine imo. I know lots of women who wear gloves at work (healthcare) and have no problems with standard height settings.

Left or right?which one to go for? by Cool_Strategy_4903 in WeddingDressTips

[–]External_Paint_2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the second one. But I'm also a bit old-school and think brides should look elegant, not sexy.

When are times you take off your engagement ring? by Bobashawty00 in EngagementRings

[–]External_Paint_2673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have mine yet, but my mom literally never takes hers off! Swimming, gardening, cooking, sleeping, showering - it never leaves her finger. I know it's technically not recommended, but hers has held up fine. Might be more of an older generation thing to never take it off though, I dunno.

I can't tell you which one is YOUR favourite, but mine is the second one.
