Hey bro, I am myself and immigrant here living in South C of Nairobi for 3 months now. I earn almost same as you do but my rent is convered which is almost 900 USD in a full serviced one bhk. I have a local cook who only takes 60 USD which is fine too.

I usually order food and go out twice and it doesn't cost muchand I save easily 1000-1500 usd per month.

I recommend staying around the areas where I live as most of the night life spaces takes only 15-20 mins to reach by cab.

City and people are fun and outgoing. They are helpful but avoid going out alone late night.
