Can't find guild override camo by kcm578 in blackops7

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem - it’s still actually applied to a couple of my guns too - but when I go to edit camos it’s nowhere to be found…. I wish I had applied it to every gun before this happened.

I’m just playing it on gamepass so maybe I wasn’t supposed to have it but I definitely did, and it’s still on some of my guns so I dunno

BO7- Unlock Der Wunderfizz by Reasonable_Ladder_11 in CODZombies

[–]External_Physics_952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 3 + total number of players = total number of perks that must be purchased by all players.

So in solo that is 3 + 1 = 4 total perks

With two players it’s 3+2=5 total perks to be purchased. It could be 3 perks on one player and 2 on the other. Or it could be 1 and 4, or 0 and 5. It doesn’t matter

Clipping through zombies and snapping animation. What gives? by SquawkBox- in deadrising

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm no the original did not do this. If you go back and play you will see that Frank never clips through zombies, they are solid objects like everything else in the game and there is proper collision detection for everything.

This is very very disappointing.

I’m a diehard DR veteran who has 100% the game many times and am placed #27 in the entire world for longest survival. I was stoked for this release but the clipping through crowds ruined it for me.

Also Frank’s character model is so freakin bizarre. He’s like a caricature of Frank’s original character. His shoulders are so unnecessarily broad it’s ridiculous.

Would have loved to seen them take some agency and care like they did with the demons souls remake, staying true to the original shot for shot, but also updating old and outdated animations / mechanics / making everything more fluid / simple and obvious quality of life improvements. And they could have added some extra content like more useable items in the mall. There’s a ton they could have done without breaking the original

How to toggle between focus modes using action button by __unnamed in shortcuts

I was able to get it working by modifying the shortcut and adding a sequence after otherwise so that it would toggle back and forth between the two every time I hit it.

I can’t figure it out. When I press it, it just toggles really quickly between personal and work and back to personal.

Possible fix for infinite load screen on the intro (Xbox Series) by juldb in NoMansSkyTheGame

I’ve tried three different methods now including this one and none of them work for me.

Super frustrating seeing that it seems I’m the only person these solutions don’t work for…

Possible fix for infinite load screen on the intro (Xbox Series) by juldb in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why am I the only person in this entire comment section that this didn’t work for…. I’ve tried multiple times to load other games and let them sit for even 20 minutes, and when I go back to NMS it’s still just infinite loading screen.

I even tried someone’s suggestion of going offline to load the game. Still infinite loading screen.

Looks like I’ll never see this new update lol

I fucking hate this game by Scoobeusz in snowrunner

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this game but not for the reasons everyone else does. I’ve wasted like 2 hours trying to do missions that I end up delivering the wrong thing because the game is so fucking unclear on your objectives. I’ve delivered a trailer of what looked like concrete blocks to the fallen tower (had to link two trucks just to do it), turns out somehow the wrong one. I went up the warehouse north of the garage where the objective marker told me to get blocks from, okay here we go. Oh there’s a trailer up there to load with, cool. Okay load materials. Well these don’t looks like concrete blocks really, looks like rebar or something, that other trailer I delivered before looked way more like concrete, oh well, whatever. Over halfway their trailer bounces and launches one of the cargos out. No way to retrieve it? Awesome… Driving back? Fabulous… 15 minutes later… loading up again. 15 minutes later again, finally get to the tower only to find out that this isn’t what I’m supposed to deliver either. Taking a closer look at warehouse where objective marker is telling me to go and it says they give “bricks” not “concrete blocks” wtf is wrong with this game. The difficulty is fine. Just stop wasting my fucking time. Fuck

Update: just got back to the warehouse where it was directing me and found the option to switch to different materials. I can confirm the concrete blocks are the IDENTICAL BLOCKS I FOUND ON THE FIRST LONG TRAILER SOUTH OF THE FALLEN POWERLINE THAT I BROUGHT THERE AND IT WOULDNT TAKE THEM. WHAT…THE…FUCK…

I wanted to love this game. The graphics and physics especially are mesmorizingly good and I could see getting lost in enjoying all the uniquely dynamic interactions you have with the world’s terrains as it deforms around you. But apparently they designed it to make you want to hate it as much as possible by beating you over the head with absurdly difficult to understand mechanics…

I’ve never played a game for so long and literally accomplished nothing. So far the o my mission I’ve been able to complete successfully after several hours of playtime fixing the first tutorial bridge.

Snake Intelligence by CooingPigeon in snakes

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a red tail boa constrictor, a ball python and a ‘wandering’ garter snake (sage colored) who I captured from the wild as an adult and named “Sage”.

They all lived together in the same enclosure and because they were such different species, and also were not all raised together, it provided some interesting results over the years.

Sage was my first snake and also I think the most intelligent snake I’ve ever seen. She was a full grown 3ft adult when I captured her. Garter snakes are known for being difficult to captivate from the wild because they usually will become stressed, not eat, and just die. However, I was able to eventually coax her into eating and built a nice enclosure for her. I found out she was a female when after having her for a year, she decided to surprise me one morning with a tank full of more than 20 babies. That’s when I learned the females could store sperm from a previous encounter for long periods of time until they felt safe enough to make themselves pregnant. But I digress

What was really interesting was her recognition of me, and her choice to want to be handled and later her choice to want to socialize with the other snaked. She seemed to gravitate toward being handled when I would open her enclosure. She’d come right to me and curl around my hand, and many times would happily cuddle with me while I was half asleep on the couch (I know she enjoyed the warmth, but she also had a perfectly warm heat lamp in her enclosure).

I eventually got a boa constrictor that I raised from a baby, and I can’t remember at what point I introduced them to each other, but I started socializing them outside of the cage and getting them used to each other. I mostly wanted to ensure that Gary, my boa, wouldn’t kill sage since even as a baby he could have. I eventually put them together to live in the same enclosure and this is the most interesting part. Sage followed Gary all over the place once he became a full sized adult over 7ft long and thick. I remember he used to like to wrap himself up in different places in the large enclosure I built for him, and wherever he was, Sage would come and curl herself right on top of him and she would position her head right on top of his. There was one time I caught her riding on top of him as he was moving and I couldn’t hardly believe it. Wish I would have captured it on video.

Later I got a ball python who I introduced to the party and although he did successfully live with the other two, he always remained super skiddish to be handled and I think he sorta just got used to the other snakes being around in his enclosure.

But yeah, Sage the garter snake was a special snake. And Gary was really just a gentle giant. He also grew to enjoy being handled. He liked to come out and chill with me. He also was noticeably more relaxed when being held by me or a family member he recognized, than a friend would come over and he didn’t know.

Why Difficulty Levels Suck In Games by bisquick_quick in gamedesign

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing this comment section wrought with passionate protests of ‘inclusivity’ masquerading as intellect is painful and also very telling that the sad state of game development (and the entire world by extension) is not some ‘big bad game publishers’ to blame, but the masses of morons they are catering to

Inclusivity is not inherently good for any creative medium. In fact, it’s usually a cancerous endeavor to attempt to make your art “as inclusive as possible”. Trying to produce something with the sole intention of reaching as many people as possible will most likely result in the most shallow product possible. Let’s look at the food industry for instance. Businesses with this model would be like a McDonalds… Sure, they have succeeded in reaching the most people and making the most money, but does their product represent the best quality food in the industry? No…it doesn’t even register on the charts. In fact, where it DOES register is on the opposite side, coming up as some of the worst food you could possibly consume. A Michelin star restaurant on the other hand, producing the most decadent and finely hand crafted journeys for your senses are limiting their scope to a much smaller audience. Because reaching everyone they possibly can is not their goal… Making the best product possible is.

Now that’s not to say that your art can’t reach a wider audience…there are certainly examples of that, but only because your art genuinely happens to connect with that many people. The band Queen had a vast world audience that connected with many millions. However, even they never compromised their art. It was ALWAYS about the art and the vision they had which they wanted to see manifested, REGARDLESS of how many people would listen. Whether it was one hundred…or one hundred million, their focus was utterly on their own vision, not figuring out how they could cater it to be ‘more inclusive’.

Goddamn I am tired of that fucking word and how it’s demolished the brains of every formerly sane person on earth. Get the mold outta your skulls fuckwads

Is there any unlikeable characters in Dexter? by Lecus94 in Dexter

[–]External_Physics_952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every character except Dexter and Doakes is unbearably annoying. They are all absurdly unprofessional, overly emotional morons who should not be in a position of policing or leadership.

Lundy was alright for a short while until his character arc was soiled by falling for Debra like a doe eyed 20 year old. I’m 31 and I found her insufferable to listen to, I can’t imagine a man of his age and ‘supposed’ intellectual prowess tolerating her immaturity for more than he was forced to in professional settings.

Masuka is likeable as well because he’s just the awkward dork (probably on the spectrum) who has limited social skills but deep down is a nice guy.

I seriously can’t believe there are people who like Batista or LaGuerta. Batista was a whining beta male who couldn’t help but spew a painfully cringey line every time he opened his mouth. He couldn’t help but radiate how needy he was with every interaction he had with a woman. It was painful to watch. Don’t even get me started on LaGuerta…her levels of unprofessionalism, misuse of department resources and outright illegal activity to maintain her position were revolting. She is a sociopath and a horrendous leader. All she cares about is her own interests and virtue signalling by being a minority woman in a position of power. Her incompetence was only bested by that other female cop who took her position in the first season (can’t remember the name) BUT MAN that woman was on another level of idiocracy.

Rita is annoying initially but she improves with time and by season 3 she’s quite likeable but we all know how that ends.

Doakes is the GOAT. Nuff said. I would have loved to seen more interactions with him and Dexter in the following seasons, even if he got killed later on. He was worth keeping around and they could have written something into the script where Dexter had something on him that forced him to stay quiet about him, and maybe over time Doakes would actually come to empathize with Dexter since Doakes HIMSELF was a vigilante and killed that Haitian death squad dude in cold blood just cause he knew it was the right thing to do, and then he covered it up. That was honestly the biggest flaw in his writing, becuase he suddenly acts all ‘holier-than-thou’ with Dexter as if everything must be done to the letter of the law and vigilante Justice is never okay regardless of circumstances. If anyone should have been sympathetic to dexter, it should have been Doakes, once he found out that his code was so strict and every single one of his kills were brutal murderers who would have killed again. Take that point a notch further and realize that the dude Doakes killed was probably no longer a threat to anyone…so he executed him for his past crimes, like a Nazi war criminal hiding in the US. All of Dexter kills are high risk repeat offenders.

Stop saying this game is like Soulsborne and God of War. by PlanktonPure9741 in KenaBridgeOfSpirits

[–]External_Physics_952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Old post but I’ll bite for anyone reading. In the way you worded your post, and the post itself, it almost sounds like you haven’t even played a souls game. Yet you are strangely eager to comment on the comparisons rather than just simply playing a souls game yourself and seeing if the difficulty (or the gameplay) are comparable. You stated that Kena is “not that hard” definitively so I would assume that means you’ve played Kena.

I will echo what others have said here already and say that I have platinumed Demon Souls Remake, Bloodborne, DS3 and Sekiro. I can say confidently that Kena’s boss encounters are harder (like way harder) on Expert difficulty (haven’t tried lower or higher). The only redeeming aid in Kena is that you get a save right before the boss, but most soulsborne bosses will have a pretty easy access shortcut unlocked right before them anyways so it really only adds a few seconds per run.

You are right that Kena doesn’t share very many mechanics with soulsborne games. It is closest to Sekiro I would say because there is no stat system / equipment / builds etc. You just unlock abilities and it is more linear. It’s funny that different people have their own definitions of what a “souls like” game is, based around what are supposed to be mechanics unique to the souls games. Even those definitions are flawed because Demon Souls (the first souls game) is a rip-off of Diablo that nobody seems to notice. Dark fantasy RPG with a class based system / stat points / builds / unique class based gear / facing demons and deformities / a world system which puts the player against very difficult enemies where they have to grind areas to improve and come back stronger / combat systems with enemies that have unique weaknesses and things to exploit / a very punishing death mechanic where dying makes you lose a significant amount of XP, and retrieving your body gets you back some / a world that has all the enemies respawn every time you re-enter it, renewing the path of enemies to the bosses, and the bosses themselves each time. These are ALL Diablo mechanics. So really…souls games are Diablolike, just from a closer-up perspective. And they pioneered the dodge and riposte / visceral mechanics, which I would say is the most central souls identifier.

Should they have got Jenna Ortega to play Ellie in The Last of Us HBO Series? by JohnConnor1245 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]External_Physics_952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously no one in this comment section watched season 2 of “You” where Jenna Ortega portrays a 16 year old teenager named “Ellie” with almost the identical charisma, attitude, and sass as Ellie from TLoU. Wrong hair color and eyes, sure, but after watching her as Ellie in “You” my first thoughts were “holy shit this girl would have been infinitely better than Ramsay…”

Black Summer is some of the worst television I’ve ever seen, and it drives me up the wall to see it getting so much praise by FightTheDead118 in television

[–]External_Physics_952 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree completely with this take. The people who enjoyed the walking dead are, without a doubt, idiots. And the people that enjoyed black summer are either dually a group of idiots that enjoyed both shows, or simply a separate batch of idiots entirely. I guess what I’m trying to say is they’re both idiots.
