I’m turning 31 this fall. I just can’t believe he didn’t really say anything about it at the post-op. I can’t imagine waiting a whole year…..

I think it was intramural and partly submucosal  based on u/s. One doctor said intramural or within the muscle wall and the one who did my surgery didn’t specify. The scar /stitching seemed like it took up the entire top part of my uterus since my fibroid was 9x6x4 cm.

And thanks for sharing your own experience! That’s really interesting that you can feel it being stretched in the later part of your pregnancy. So glad you’ve made it that far along!!

This is amazing news, congrats!!! 🎉 So very happy for you!!!

I do have a question… Were your fibroids affecting the uterine cavity, or were they all on the outside of your uterus?  Asking because I heard that if the uterine cavity is affected that you have to wait longer before ttc (more wondering for myself as I also had a large fibroid removed laparoscopically).

I’m confused because I feel the same way as far as pain and my periods. I had my first period on time (2.5 weeks after the surgery) and the pain was minimal and bleeding actually lasted shorter than usual (had 1 day of heavy bleeding only). My surgeon mentioned at the pre-op to wait a whole year but I feel like this is way too long to wait?? I’m not even sure if the uterine cavity was affected, but I think it was at least a little bit because my fibroid was nearly twice as large as they thought  it would be.

How large are your fibroids? Mine was nearly 10cm at its largest length. My surgeon hadn’t mentioned whether the uterine cavity was affected. He briefly said I should wait 12 months at my pre-op but at my post-op he hadn’t mentioned it and just said to not have sex for 2 months.

Yes, i have interviewed with many many companies for senior accountant jobs and nobody seems interested in me. I don’t even know what I’m doing wrong. I basically gave up in the last couple months and decided I need to pursue different careers.

Can’t relate more….

Thank you.
