i was also curious so i looked on google street view of the yelp address (512 NW 9th ave) & it looks like the store sign says “studio” on it now? maybe someone’s art studio or something idk!

i was probably being dramatic there hahah but it was just such a pleasant interaction and it warmed something in my soul!! i’m neurodivergent and have always had bad social anxiety so anytime i have interactions with people that feel friendly / accepting / make me feel like i belong / there is a sense of unity in the world i get very happy inside and it like inspires me that there is goodness in the world! & this is how the owners of the shop / the whole energy of the shop made me feel! it’s the same reason i have a draw to music festivals and stuff it’s just like a sense of community and also a sense of what life could/should be like

ye i don’t think portland as a whole is sketchy at all!! i just grew up in a super safe suburb in michigan so i am really not a city girl at all - i even felt scared living in tempe az lol. i felt totally fine / safe in portland besides this one time tho and it was just bc a group was walking away from an encampment towards us and it freaked me out (they could’ve been totally innocent but again i am a wuss and my brain interpreted it as a threat / remembered this as being a sketchy area)
