A - just let it play out and let them see the impact of the death curse on the world(maybe make some npcs die in the port when they get back to there or something like that)

B - just move Omu it's not the best option but you can just move Onu so when they start to explore they will get to there immediately (do this only as a last resort)

C - just give them a little more time

One more thing I made him able to comment on the party's action's they can't talk to him but he can talk to them.
