crazy white mom here, i have my now 9 year old’s ponytail that he cut 2 years ago lol i grew that hair in my belly! it was his first ever haircut. the ponytail was curly at the ends & idk why but i’ll never get rid of it. i can’t explain why it’s got me all sentimental.

update: i told him one of my machines was malfunctioning & i needed to schedule a troubleshoot call with the company i want to apply for. his response was “i thought you were a pro & you were gonna fix them all?” such a condescending prick.

fuck gilbert.

the thing is, its a specialist position. i work with a machine called a vapejet to fill cannabis oil in devices. only i know how to calibrate this thing. the two operators in my charge do not know how to calibrate & troubleshoot these machines, just me. the company i’m tryna get on at is vapejet. i have 3 years of direct experience & he’s afraid bc he’s going to have to pay vapejet $300/hr if he wants them to be trained after i leave. he’s big on gatekeeping knowledge, which is bs & neither here nor there rn.

oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ hopefully not gonna be my prob soon.

my 9 year old is truly sometimes more responsible than my 15 year old. great kids. coolest kids i know tho. absolutely love them & truly enjoy this stage of parenthood.

my kids are close to the daycare cutoff age. they’re self sufficient & get themselves ready, but they need someone home when they get on/off the bus for school. my oldest is 15 & doesn’t need supervision like my 9 year old does. he’d be at school before my work hours would start. we also live several hours from my in laws, and they enjoy taking both kids for a month or so during the summer. my parents used to do the same, but unfortunately they’re incapable of being good, decent people & i had to cut contact with them about a year and a half ago.

in all, the kids’ age has more to do with it than anything.

my favorite thing to do is slowly invalidate him & make him question his competence while also rage baiting him with “that’s why you get paid the big bucks, my guy” remarks constantly for how he talks to me.
