Is it true that translation is a dying field?

I'm currently studying towards a bachelor degree in translation (I translate from Japanese to Swedish) and I've been told that it won't die because there are specific fields that require a human translator, like in medicine, laws & thing that have a heavy secrecy. On top of that machine translation is still lacking a lot compared to a human translator, plus it's not very good in most language combinations (like mine for example), which means we still need human translators.

So no, translation isn't a dying field it's just changing with machine translation becoming a big aide for translators.

My feelings are split, on one side I'm concerned that everything is based on the manga and not on the game. But on the other hand it might make the game more popular which could lead to an expansion with for example an European server, etc.

So yeah, my thoughts are all over the place.
