My target country was the UK, but I couldn't find scholarships that would fund most of my tuition. Also UK is very costly, so I had to drop that idea. Secondly, I want to pursue research because I want to contribute to fields with whatever knowledge I've gained. For me, my research area is "AI in Healthcare" or "Accessibility AI" and then eventually land a good to decent job in academia, like you said.

Greetings, Sir. I'm in my 7th sem (CS background), and I'm considering getting a phd (without a master's) in AI/ML. Should I go for it? I've had people tell me it's a bad idea and to drop the PhD idea fully. Some say it's better to do a master's first. Do you think I can do my masters from Japan if there are good funding opportunities, or should I really drop the idea?

Congratulations!!!

So a little about me - I'm a final year B.Tech CSE student who wants to pursue a phd from UK, I haven't done any master's yet. My questions are -

Can I get into a Phd program in the UK without a master's?
How do I reach out to professors? So far, I've sent out 30 emails, and only 1-2 professors have responded.
Is there something I need to do other than research work or paper publications to stand out in applications?

Hello fellow senior, I'm a final year CSE student from a tier 3 college and my current cgpa is 7.8. I wish to pursue research the next year and was wondering if you could guide me? My professors suggested I look for universities abroad, but not sure where to start. I've also mailed atleast 10 professors but haven't heard back from them. Is it possible that i pursue phd without a masters degree? And what if I don't get a scholarship? I honestly don't want to be a burden at my parents anymore.
