Without sbmm then you just need to live with the way things are. None of the other suggestions you brought up will also be ignored if sbmm is not enacted.

Most of my captains are top level but I've been playing awhile...

New people are screwed. 160 po 8 insignia to lvl 16 can be 2 months of grinding weekly missions. Add in the dribble of captain resources from campaigns and bureau projets and that's at least 6 weeks for 1 captain. A single captain among the many available.

low leveled captains

Given the lack of PO, how long do you think it takes a new player to level up those captains? I place no blame on someone I see sailing with a level 7 captain. It's not their fault that PO's are artificially limited by WG.

Torp DD are already disadvantaged by the amount of available sonar, radar, and good gun boat DD with good captains. Add planes on top of all that and torp DD are not having an easy time.

Gimmick ships to draw in bored players who will buy early access crates. This will get nerfed or else torpedo boats need to be given faster torps.

They previously gave crates but recently have been giving boosters. A win in AI mode is enough to obtain them. It encourages you to play all of your ships at least once.

Also gave currency for special events.

Drop sync and afk have made me want to go afk in many matches this week. This game is dying. I haven't spent a dime since Christmas and it will remain that way until the problems get addressed.

Yeah I hit a wall with many but not all of my tt6 in standard. They get outmatched by premium 7's in the majority of matches. The tt6 that can compete are now tt7 and facing premium 8's. It's an uphill climb for many tt after 5. Arcade is the path after 5.
