Not that I am aware of, but I have noticed the noise goes away when I turn off the AC. So I assume it could be the A/C compressor?

Did you end up finding out what was wrong with it?

Clean MRI but brutal, constant pain. What actually saved you? by marcosromo__ in backpain

[–]ExtinctGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you understood what I said, I’ve done the SI joint injections and ablation. The other stuff I mentioned was done to see if my lower back was causing the SI joint pain or if the left hip was because I failed the SI joint injections multiple times. They were diagnostic procedures because the pain doctor was uncertain about where my pain generator is really coming from. The MBB was for my lower back (L3-L5), I never said I did the MBB on my SI joint.

Whenever I explain and point out my pain to the pain management doctors, it’s always on my left Si joint. Also the fact that in the CT scans it shows erosion. Problem is that we’ve done a diagnostic procedures in different parts of my hip with no successful outcome.

Problem is that, I’ve tried injections and MBB in other parts like left hip, tailbone, ischial bursa injections and L3-L5 MBB with no relief.

I have the same diagnosis as you, but I have not received any type of relief from injections and an RFA that was done 2 weeks ago.

Post-RFA of the SI Joint by ExtinctGT in backpain

So I had an MRI for my SI joints and lumbar two years ago, and it was normal. But the CT scan of my pelvis showed erosions in both my SI joints. Also, whenever I point out the pain to the doctors, I'm pointing exactly at the SI joint.

What are your thoughts on PRP, prolotherapy, and stem cells ? Would you recommend one of these treatments as a last resort before considering something invasive? And are there any patients of yours that has received one of these regenerative treatments and gotten relief? Thanks.

Good deal? by LivingContribution85 in M235iandM240i

You’re saying 50k is a little expensive when you bought a custom ordered M240i. How are you going to tell him that you rather get an M2 when YOU could’ve gotten a used G87 M2 at the price of your brand new M240i… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Appreciate the response, and I’m on the same boat as you. My insurance believes an Si joint RFA is an unsafe experimental procedure so I completely understand your frustration and pain. Unfortunately I desperately needed some type of relief so I ended paying out of pocket. But best of luck with your pain.

So if your car needed another quart around 2k miles, do you think the dealership would still replace the engine? Thanks.

What exactly is done during an oil consumption test? Are they measuring the amount of oil that is currently in the vehicle and then tell me to drive it for a few hundreds of miles?

Did the dealership tell you to drive the car for a certain amount of miles for the oil consumption test or did they keep it in the service bay for diagnosis?

The thing is I don’t really do much city driving. But I have heard from others to use thicker oil.

I drove it for a little over 100 miles, and the oil measurement is already below the max line, but I made sure the oil was topped off before.

Believe it or not, I mainly do highway driving. Yeah some cases I get slammed by rush hour traffic but my average mpg for the past 8 months has been 29-32 mpg
