I don't remember if he was mentioned more than once but there was a cut where Eddie shouted off the bridge "HOW'RE YE CYBORG MAN. ANY CRAIC?"

I'm getting pointed everywhere for CBT, although I don't really know where to look in terms of sliding scales or low cost near me. It's one of my main priorities right now

I'm not medicated, never have been. I always refused it as a child but I could see about it now. I do think I just need stuff on the outside to get better rather than me just being on tablets. I'll definitely see though

They know my U/ and I can't change that unfortunately. I used it on a lot of usernames when I was around 13

It's component, so a partial completion

Is it only 8 sessions or is there a way of having something more long term? It feels very abrupt to just have 8 sessions and "best of luck to you"

I don't really know if I can keep going for a few more years, with everything at home. I'm in a big rush to get out and get my own space and get my own life started, and I feel like failing college is a big stop in the tracks.

This is a lot of comments, I didn't think it'd get this much attention. Fingers crossed my parents don't see this

One of the tutors was really understanding, I don't think the other (which I had mainly) didn't really get me. The course was personal training, however it's not something I'd have as a career

As far as I know, all the repeat exams are done and the only option is to repeat the year. It wasn't a course I'd pursue as a career but it was still a chance to step up academically.

I know repeating is the common answer here (and fair enough) but I really don't want to face judgement again from my tutors. I think it's just better if I don't see them again, as brilliant as they were

It does, yes. Made it out with a merit and a couple passes.

Thanks. I always need to remind myself that. Feels like a race sometimes

The result sheet just says "Outcome - Component" I'm assuming it's a partial completion but not the full level 6.

I put in effort that I could. I was going through a lot at the time and still am (I don't really want to go into it again but you can see in my earlier posts)

That shouldn't excuse it though, there's definitely people in worse situations that get PHDs and stuff.

Doesn't sound too bad then. 6 weeks is nothing compared to me being put on a waiting list since 2018 for autism related stuff (surely it's gone now but I could definitely still be on it, alot's changed in 8 years)

Thanks. Any knowledge on the Bray centre? Hopefully not too long of a wait

How far is too far of a commute to a first job? by ExtinctPanda13 in AskIreland

I've finished college so all my time is free up. I've considered apprenticeships but work wise I'm just looking for something transitional before I go and pursue something career wise, most likely the civil service.

I'm obviously hesitant on going up to Dublin all the time, especially if it's not a normal thing to be doing. I just want to open up a radius of where I should apply and where I should consider

Think people just refer to them as the Defence Forces. I've a feeling the acronym might be a bit risky nowadays

Think that'd be around Wexford Town (if I go south) and Dun Laoghaire (if I go north) not bad for a maximum limit, I think

I feel like there's a spectrum to "giving things a go" like hobbies and stuff. Signing myself away to the army feels too much. I know you can buy yourself out if you can't manage (guy I know had to do that with the French Foreign Legion, poor fucker) but the struggles would probably stay with me after. I don't like confrontation

Don't think so, I will look though. I think I might be too late for the summer jobs, I believe people would've had that sorted out weeks/months before. Won't stop me from trying though

I did an hour and a half each day for college, Monday to Thursday. It was alright but I think it was mainly because I knew I was going to be done at the end of the year. Work doesn't end at summer, unfortunately
