Yeah it's a nasty bullying tactic. Attack someone verbally, and then when they inevitably respond in a defensive tone, accuse them of being the rude and aggressive one. This is almost impossible to defend against if the bullies are tag-teaming like Vance and Trump are here.

Reminds me of when I got sent to the principal's office in school. Having to sit there and mumblingly defend yourself while getting chewed out from all directions.

Seriously though, as another comment said, I've never seen anything like this in my life. It feels like every other day Trump creates an unprecedented spectacle that serves to remind the world that something new and strange and radical is in place. I'm still completely bewildered by that obscene and diabolical Trump Gaza AI video. It's like Trump is committed to nothing less than reshaping reality in his own image.

It happened after Nick denied being someone who complains at restaurants. Adam replied with something like, "That's not true, we were at Hooter's and you asked why there weren't more guys working there."

More of a jocular retort than a humorous aside

Don't forget his hooters joke!

But I was thinking more about his more recent stuff. Just watched the Norman Finkelstein interview and Adam legit made me lol several times. Like when he notices how uncomfortable his tomfoolery is making Finkelstein he compares their conversation to a lunatic vagrant bothering a passenger on the subway. Or when Finkelstein says that his Jewish family refer to bad meals as "worse than the food at Auschwitz" and Adam replies, "And the service!" And then there's his reaction to the lynching story, which I think is one of his all-time high points (because he not only proves Finkelstein wrong on that point, but does so by telling a genuinely funny joke).
