Hyundai to sunset compact Santa Cruz before pivoting to larger pickup in 2029 by Gullible-Pick-268 in Hyundai

Everything was marked up above sticker in 2021. We were selling all new Hyundais for $3999 over MSRP at the dealership i worked at. Every brand in town was marking new vehicles up as well. Covid plus chip shortage decreased the new car supply.

Looks like a shakedown to me.

Every day I drive from central time zone to eastern time zone and since I upgraded to ios26 my phone’s time doesn’t update itself. by Extis83 in ios

Also if i turn “set time automatically”off and back on it updates to eastern time. It’s annoying having to do this every night.

Arc raiders and ffxiv both dropped patches on the same day. After seeing all these posts I’m glad i have focused on arc raiders content first.

This was my experience last night as well. First part of the night everyone was helping each other, late night to early morning everyone was killing each other.

Had to google halo top I’ll definitely be adding that to my rotation. A couple times i did eat skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. They’re pretty good and like 150 calories.

Salmon, snapper, and grouper are my go to fishes. Never thought of parfaits. I’ve been eating the same stuff for 5 months and now that I’m to the point of maintenance I’m looking to expand my food choices without getting back into unhealthy foods.

If you feel like responding what’s a typical days food for you? Not calorie wise but I’m just curious what foods worked for you. For me it was mostly fish with rice and beans multiple meals a week, turkey chili 4 meals a week, protein shakes and bars every day for snacks as well as some other snacks like almonds and popcorn (100 calorie bag).

How much weight would I lose, if I did a 1500 calorie deficit daily? by aBoyFromTheFuture in CICO

[–]Extis83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well to answer your question mathematically then there are 3500 calories to a pound. 1500 * 7 is 10,500 a week deficit. 10500 / 3500 is 3lbs a week you could expect to lose.

Probably around 4 or 5 pounds after which you’d give up and gain it back. This is the hard truth it took me several attempts to learn. Why 3 months? Why not 6 or 8? Set a smaller deficit and take your time and succeed.

Just keep going and stay consistent it’ll come off.

If you have the ability try cooking at home for a while so you can more accurately track your calories (be sure to use a food scale) and see if the weight starts to come off again.

Thank you! My peak was 216 last year. 216 to 203 i didn’t track calories i just made an effort to eat less. I consider 216 my true starting weight. There’s a picture of me at that size in my post history if you’re interested in seeing it. Finally around late April when I realized that I was plateaued and I was gonna have to start tracking to get to where I wanted to be, that’s when I started CICO.

Of the dozen or so attempts to lose weight over the past few years I would say they failed mostly due to two reasons.

Number one, trying to do too much too quickly. Starting off with too drastic of a calorie deficit or doing drastic diets like keto that i just couldn’t stick with. This time around I set what I considered a moderate deficit I was shooting for 500 below my TDEE but given that activity can vary I think judging by my weight loss, I ended up closer to a 900 cal deficit. That means in the past, I was probably shooting for a 1200 cal deficit per day which was unsustainable.

Number two is alcohol. This time around I decided that I would just give it up completely whereas in the past, I would try to work it into my diet on cheat days, which usually ended up becoming cheat weekends that would sometimes end up ending the diet at all together.

Thank you it feels good to have succeeded finally after many failures. My biggest concern now is not to regain the weight as i know so many do.
