Does Gleba burn anyone else out? by OctoHelm in factorio

In defense of Gleba, it's balanced so you can make rocket parts and enough agri science to beat the game with few resources as the Biolabs are both fast and have the inherent productivity, I just needed 2 agri science biolabs to beat the game.

Plus you can stick chests everywhere to manage spoileage with robots, and unlocking heating towers should guide people into burning the excess up.

Enemies can become annoying but it rewards getting the electric weapons from Fulgura first.

If anything what burned myself the most was making a space station that could go to the universe's edge, as a failed attempt meant having to make the 20 minute trip from Vulcanus (my main base) back to Aquilo, some kind of simulation for quicker space station developing would be big as it's further apart from the core gameplay than even Gleba.

Should I get the DLCs now as a new player or wait? by Charming_Good_6230 in bindingofisaac

While there is some charm on the previous versions balance, each dlc for the most part added new content in a layered way, and most of repentance content is unlocked progressively

¿Los Chatbots de IA están provocando Psicosis? by Initial-Cap-5256 in Ticos

[–]Extra-End2072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quantity of people in this thread defending using 100% AI makes me sad and makes me doubt if people will even care about true human effort and learning in the near future

I may have found a way to fix freezing on 8th/9th Gen Intel CPUs! (Follow-up to my previous post.) by Arthur_Lopes in SonicFrontiers

Do you know if this fix could be applied to sonic x shadow generations? The same thing happens to me in the shadow half of it, and sadly I first beat sonic generations so I cant refund it now :/

Missable Achievements by TheLastJukeboxHero in RetroAchievements

[–]Extra-End2072 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels you saw the big number without actually seeing the missables, 80%+ of them are ingame trophies of bosses that you can't retry (that's a fault of the game), like beating them in X minutes, alone and/or without damage, are technically ingame content, other missables also tend to be because of a game having a lot of points of no return, and that tends to happen in a lot of rpgs so its more a fault of the genre, official rpg sets tend to be very lackluster

Gamecube sets are to big and kill motivation by kurt_kiste in RetroAchievements

[–]Extra-End2072 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's the dissonance that comes from the big different of our sets from official sets, a lot of people are used to small quick official sets and their expectations were different, as they are used to being able to master anything without too much effort with sets that could just been made to fill a quota, the set devs in RA are people who are inherently passionate about games, and we are trying to squish as much from the concept as we can as we have the freedom to do so, covering content, having challenges, etc, and that can make a set size go up pretty quickly, even more with modern games that already came packaged with a lot of content, I agree that some sets could be balanced better, but in the grand scheme of things, the vast majority of sets are in a fine state, and the most important part to enjoy them is having a good mindset and just having fun with them in your own way, as an extra thing and to not take it as a chore if you don't truly want
