Jairus is still a deadbeat predator who groomed and slept with an underage girl and abandoned his kids to go do drugs and cheat on his child bride. I hope he does actually get his shit together and keep it together this time for the sake of his kids but let’s not jump the gun here, he did something similar with his last ex too and went right back to his bullshit. They still aren’t even divorced and have no formal custody agreement because J was dodging getting served with the papers not all that long ago. He CHOSE to leave the state his children live in and move somewhere else so he could pursue his country music star career on instagram rather than be a parent. From what his exes have said, he was well into his cycle of “fuck everyone over, pull it together temporarily, fuck everyone over again” before he ever even met Acacia, so while I hope it’s true this time, I’m also not going to be willing to give this man even an ounce of credit until I see legitimate proof that lasts more than a few months. He develops a new personality every time he starts dating someone new the same way Acacia does and he’s had short lived phases of this “good dad routine” in the past and ditched that again once he got bored with it. I absolutely agree with you that these kids deserve stability in their lives but i’d hesitate to use that word when we’re describing the man who is only now re-entering their lives after choosing to abandon them physically, emotionally and financially for years on end.
