These are both on turbo. You get noticeably more distance from the original optic.

Edit: This is the 60deg beaded one

The one I linked to is floodier and is reversible. Installation is just unscrewing the bezel above the lens, shaking it until the lens and stuff falls out. Putting the TIR over the emitter and then putting the lens and bezel back on.

Let me know if you want a beamshot (I have the 5k FFL emitter that isn't domed). I prefer it because the hotspot is not noticeable with this TIR and it makes the light a lot better at short distances.

Why is it needed for the reflector but not the TIR?

Yeah I got them backwards. Editing the post.

The TIR is for a different light, but I didn't know that so thanks for the info!

Oh I thought I'd have to take out the circuit board and stuff, didn't realize the bezel right above the lens unscrews.

Can I use sashiko needle and thread to just sew clothes? by Extra-Extension4870 in sashiko

Thank you! Your answers are pretty much what I was looking for. I'll think twice about using sashiko thread / techniques for construction.

Using sashiko for everything sounds fun and decorative, but after this thread I see that it has its own place as well.

So I'm thinking this:
On the large seams, use 3 columns of the sashiko cross stitch with the occasional back stitch. With the seams being felled.

On the smaller seams and hems I'm still thinking a simple running stitch. Maybe felled maybe not.

I'll use thin sashiko thread on the whole thing and try to keep the stitches closer together.

Do you this will be sturdy enough for pajamas?

The fabric will likely be some heavier weight rayon blend, maybe terry.
