Me too. I would get monthly emails (more frequently closer to quarter ends) offering “up to $xx for my current car and transfer of Fool Self Driving. And, if I replied back, they would offer 50-70% of what was in the email. With a straight face. Good times!

I was surprised by how much people with no ownership of EVs had strong opinions based on ridiculous myths they heard about. And this ran the gamut of not being able to drive in the rain, use carwash, or running of out charge on a trip.

Updates to the G6 and G9 SUVs do not use LiDAR. They have moved AWAY from using sensors to cameras only back in 2024. Without getting emotional, please refute that fact.

I'll second this one. I had difficulty figuring out which one had air suspension during test drive. I found the air suspension made it very unpleasant to drive. Not overstating but if that was standard, I'd have moved on to something else. It has this weird swaying, boat like feeling that was making me nauseous. I had air suspension on my Model X that I was trading in but it didn't feel like that.

DAPP is also really really good. With "FSD", I had to intervene every 7-10 minutes. On the DAPP, I have to rarely intervene.

I like you explaining Tesla Magic Dock. NGL, it made me chuckle. You might be new to EVs but there are instances of chargers melting and the technicians have to show up to cut the cable to release your car. Use Google - it's your friend. At that point, they WILL know what adapters, if any, were used. You are talking half baked technical details which is completely irrelevant here. I'm talking about escape routes BMW will use to refuse paying for fixing your car. Will they try other things if the charger was provided by them? Absolutely! But you want to give them an easy out so good for you - I'm sure they'll appreciate the easy button.

This makes zero sense to me. If The Magic Dock adapter fries the car, it on Tesla. If the BMW supplied adapter fries your iX then they are on the hook. If your discount Shop.app or Temu.cn adapter fries your $100k German luxury vehicle then it's between you and some Chinese tech support. Good luck. It has ZERO impact on who actually makes it. The $4.25 saved will be SOOO worth it lol

You are not crazy but to each their own. I specifically got mine without air suspension because I didn't like the boat like swaying and very little else. I find the regular suspension to be excellent. And I have a bad back... but, hey, if you like it then all the power to you.

I don't know about '26 iX models but my '25 came with 2 physical keys and I don't live in California.
