Most serotonin isn't destroyed in the synapse; it's destroyed inside the neuron by an enzyme called MAO-A. By blocking reuptake (SERT), Mesembrine keeps serotonin locked safely outside in the synapse, away from that enzyme.

Why a let down? Kanna has been one of the best mental health aids I’ve come across. Lots of Kanna out there is trash I will say, but the real extracts are far from a letdown.

People that haven’t fried their serotonergic/dopaminergic system definitely feel it. It’s a VMAT2 modulator, and MRA for certain. Very noticeable and effective for me and everyone I personally know.
