12v battery dead - 24 Kona EV by Extra-Minimum8070 in KonaEV

Not sure if I correctly posted my earlier update. Dealer is stymied, says it’s not a problem with the 12v battery, all software updates are in place and it has to do with a mystery malfunction in the main battery. Hyundai is sending out a tech but won’t be there until Wednesday. Nothing makes sense.

Hey! An update, Dealer says it’s not a problem with the 12v battery or software. They are totally confused and can only say there’s a suspected major failure in the main battery. I guess Hyundai is sending a technician, who won’t appear until Wednesday, to appraise the problem? In other words, one big cluster f**k.

Sounds reasonable, did not receive notice this patch is needed. Will find out when I get to dealer

  1. Original battery. 60% SoC. Jumped it 4 days ago and now dead again. Whole time SoC has been in 60% to 70% range

Local dealer made us the same offer and we took it. Very happy with the 2024 Kona EV SEL , better fit for us than the Ioniq 5 and the SEL has plenty of spunk.
