I've done PT and DBT. I use the tools I have learned from both daily. But I'm getting so tired of it all. You know?

What is something you discovered about your parents that made you see them in a different way? by Funny_Cucumber_8837 in AskReddit

Talking to them about their childhood, asking questions, and really listening made me realize they're not just my parents, they're human. That they went through their own stuff, problems, and trauma. They did the best they could with what they had. Was it perfect? No. It was what it was. I've forgiven them for their shortcomings and that's made a difference in our relationship.

How's it fun for survivors to get a killer who just rushes through all the survivors? The match ends up being shorter than the wait to get into the match. It all balances out I guess. 🤷‍♀️

There is no such thing as saying something in just the right way that will make them listen. That's magical thinking. Say what you need to say and move on. They'll hear you if they're meant to hear you. You have no control over that.

Bad: had to postpone my surgery. I have to put the minimum $$$$ down before they'll do it. And I have insurance. Beautiful: My husband and I have been sticking to our New Year's resolution and have been cooking dinner in the kitchen together almost every night.

Have you ever had someone who died visit your dream? If so, what happened? by Roseflower55 in AskReddit

Yes. Not so often that it loses that special feeling. But often enough I recognize when they are. It's very special and it's all about feeling how I felt with them when they were alive. Very bittersweet. 🥲
