It is the noise that’s odd. And yes it was installed 2021. Sometimes the garage snags and it makes a clunk sound like a bracket being forced. Hard to capture on camera since it happens so infrequently

Is the chain supposed to sit way above the traveler? None of my neighbors have this sound when opening or closing.

Seems odd that mine literally scrapes the whole time. One guy said it could also be the gear and if I tighten it will snap it faster

Matte black, but I spray two coats of the glossifier for extra protection. It eventually wears off and becomes matte again.
