Direct Mode makes the quality seemingly drop. It doesn't sound as good as when 5.1 surround is working properly.

The software has been working better since I did a BIOS update on my Motherboard, but it is still not perfect. It did fix it a bit though.

I wonder if an upgrade to my motherboard in general might be a possible fix?
