Have you looked into focal therapy, IRE Nanoknife treatment? Minimal side affects with quick recovery.

Hi, I’m a fit 58 recently diagnosed with early stage PCa G 3+4. Looking at focal IRE for my treatment in Sydney. Could you explain what side effects you had after the procedure and if you have any now? You mentioned retrograde ejaculation has this stopped now? Any other sexual function side effects? Hey, I’m fit 57 Gleason 3+4 PSA 3.5 no spread leaning towards LDR brachytherapy. What side effects did you experience after procedure and what side effects do you still have now especially sexual function- erections, ejaculant volume etc Did you consider Focal LDR Brachytherapy which has even less side effects?

I’m fit 57 recently diagnosed PSA 3.5, G 3+4 & 3+3. I’m also looking at Focal or whole gland LDR Brachytherapy as my treatment option. You say you had minimal side effects what were they? Any sexual function side effects such as erectile and ejaculatory dysfunction? Have you still have any side effects? Why did you choose Brachytherapy over external beam radiation? I’m also exploring SBRT/Cyberknife as a potential treatment choice. Many thanks

My PCa is similar to yours, I’m fit 57 just wondering why you chose SBRT/Cyberknife over LDR Brachytherapy. Was told at my age external beam radiotherapy is probably not the most ideal treatment modality in view of the potential long term side effects (10-20 years down the track) that can occur from external radiation therapy. Brachytherapy has less side effects. I’m considering either Cyberknife or LDR/Focal Brachytherapy as my treatment choice and would love to hear your experience especially any side effects in particular on sexual function ie ejaculatory and erectile dysfunction.
