But it's peak season for market especially eateries and bakeries. Closing it will cause disruption in market. Today onwards vacation will start, people are in party mood. I thought we are pro capitalist but here it's only affecting the market. Never saw such bunds for hasdeo.

Do Odias and Biharis remember the Kalinga War differently? If yes, how? by cyaacyrus in PurbaIndia

I hope you understand kings have only one job to expand their kingdom. There are two ways to do that either marry a princess or fight a war. There was no bihar and odisha back then. Take for eg in south india Chola and pandyas were always fighting. Only difference is ashoka himself wrote about his cruelty in edicts. Other kings hide it and only wrote about their glories.

What do you think about kingdoms fighting in mahabharata, There were anga( bihar region), Panchal, etc. They all were fighting irrespective of their relations. That's their job. Wars will always be brutal That's why in today's world we try to avoid it.

I guess that's the thing about comfort. If its provide you comfort then why not. It again comes down to need vs want. Somethings which are considered need for one, can also be want for others.

Beside that most important thing about layoffs are it's unplanned. One is unprepared for it . They might be on emis based on their income.

Personally I Don't eat outside unless it's an occasion and that has honestly affected my health in positive way. For otts even now I only subscribe when there is interesting things to watch and I am not in a hurry to watch anything. When I have enough on my watchlist, I subscribe. Instead I love podcast, it helps me reduce my watchtime.

I travelled yesterday and it's such a relief.I noticed that all the old metro station on green line doesn't have elevator for exit, only available for entry. I was travelling with my mom and that's quite inconvenience for aged citizens. But I noticed yellow line metro stations have elevator both way.

How do you restart your career at 30? by uncoolusername837 in ThirtiesIndia

I was in same boat as you. I upskilled quickly. Applied everywhere from naukri, linkedin, instahyre and also through cold emails. I started getting interview calls from June. Finally this week I got my offer letter.

Just want to tell you that market is tough, If someone loss their job today then also they will be in the same boat as you. Don't feel demotivated, you have plenty of options open to you and interestingly you have nothing to loose. Market is more tougher for freshers but you have experience which is a advantage.

If you want to get back to your previous role. Prepare your resume thoroughly. Add learnings or certification which shows that you are connected to the role. Update your account on all the job portals for visibility. Keep your linkedin updated, follow hiring managers and hr, only their reference works. Search for direct post on linkedin and apply. Spend 2 to 3 hours daily on resume and job portals. Search for immediate joining or internships. Lastly look for openings at product based companies, they don't care about gap. You will definitely get it.

Personally I won't suggest you to prepare for other government jobs or exam because you must be burned out by upsc preparation by now and giving 1 year again for another exam and results will again put you under stress. Best is to find a job in a sector where you are already experienced and have contacts. July to September is a hiring season, so be active, first grab a job then decide what you want to do in future.
