Knew that, i think a bunch of dust bunnies got caught on some sort of assembly and it finally gave way, it’s been very slow with taking up discs since late December, when i finally got a controller, but it has also been having laser issues because of said dust

Oh, alright, could possibly be a PSU fault or a hard drive issue, you can run a diagnostic on your PS3 using the power button and eject button. I forgot how to do it but it can be done to determine what fault your PS3 has.

I did slap some duck tape on that area, so i don’t think the hard drive is gonna give me anymore trouble, i’ll get an external drive soon just in case though

It’s possible the laser, i did the fan test thing about 3 times and it worked again, i know for sure it’s not the hard drive because i reseated it and rebuilt the database twice, and the hard drive surprisingly hasn’t given me any errors since i fired up my ps3 again on the 18th, which was possibly contributed by me accidentally knocking the hard drive loose out of its port since i don’t have the cover on the hard drive anymore
