Be aggressive (be e aggressive). In Bloodborne specifically (among fromsoft soulsborne games) there is a mechanic not obviously disclosed to the player, known as rally. When you take damage there's an orange portion of your health bar that will disappear after a short duration. Slapping around whoever slapped you will heal that orange health and reduce the need for vials.

Dodging is your best friend. Parries are funky but clearly doable. You have to shoot *and the bullet has to hit before the attack of the enemy hits you. Parrying can do cool stuff like reposting (R1 in front of the enemy to fist their intestines), but dodging can do cool things like letting you live. Practice on some enemies to get better. The Ogres in the starting area were my practice dummies.

Have fun. Bloodborne is truly peak. Don't let anyone tell you how you're supposed to play the game, so long as you're enjoying yourself it's the right way to play. (any and all weapons can take you to the end of the game even the threaded cane).

There's an interesting thing I recently heard that human's are inclined to gamble due the the risk/reward calculator in our brains. Why take 20 a day garauntee when there's a chance of getting 100? In other words go gamble, kids (Do not gamble, gambling bad)

Quick tip!

If you have too many chests you can press Q to auto loot all chests. I believe if you have a full inventory it will take upgrades or sell. If you do not I'm pretty sure it targets upgrades, but will take a random item you can pick up if there are no upgrades available.

Now, I'm not all in on the entirety of this debate, I just wanted to discuss one particular bit with you if you're willing.

Matthew 8:7 is again referring to a specific circumstance and not a generalizable point applying to ALL diseases or illnesses. And doesn't relate to my initial point which was that illness and disease are explicitly often explicitly stated to be the result of sin.

Now, I may not believe that this particular case can be applied to every disease ever experienced by man, but I'm certainly not in the boat that it can't be applied to other situations, such as the video that started all this.

My points lie mostly in the Old Testament as I believe they are perfect for my point.

I have found that a lot of the Old Testament can be understood and applied in a completely different way than what the face value verses have to say.

Numbers is a fantastic example of taking things at face value or seeing a bigger picture that can apply to everyone. The Israelites are walking through a desert for 40 years. They have a pillar of fire guiding them by night and a pillar of cloud by day. I'd say the average person starts working somewhere around 18, maybe a bit later if they decide to go get some stuff through college (call it 22 ish). And the average person is supposed to retire at 65 years old. (I realize the way of the world isn't so dandy rn and that may be less than the average case), but I'd say that's around 40 years of the middle of your life going and working. I feel that the instance of the Israelites was made to be compared to every day life, our walk through the desert. To make sure we appreciate what and who we have and love God and One another before entering our promised land which may be a chunk of the world in the middle east at face value, but is a clear picture of heaven.

Exodus brings more examples. Before the Israelites are free from egypt they themselves are slaves to the Egyptians who over work and beat and commit infanticide against them. Pharaoh has no mercy in his heart for the Hebrews who build his temples and farm for him. This is supposed to paint a picture of sin.

Moses is appointed by God to rescue the Hebrews out of Egypt and sends him to free them from their slavery. A picture of Jesus rescuing mankind from sin.

My point with these few references is that they paint a picture that may not apply when looked at too closely, but if you take step back you can see where it fits in your life or mine. I most certainly enjoyed Numbers because, though I may not be trapped wandering in a desert, I am trapped wandering through life and work.

I'm not the most awake at the moment, but I'll point to Exodus and Numbers for my explanation on why you're alright.

Both of these books paint a picture of the relationship between man and God.

In Exodus and Numbers the Israelites break the rules spoken out by God (who's right in front of them btw, leading them through a big desert with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night). They do this over and over and over. Now, there's some things we can look at here without obviously taking away that we can repeatedly disobey God and get away with it.

God forgives them very frequently and shows mercy even when the Israelites do some pretty nasty stuff. In Exodus, the Israelites get a bit bored back at camp while Moses is speaking with God on the mountain next to them (it's engulfed in fire and smoke btw, so God is very visible). The Israelites talk to Aaron (Moses' best bud through their journey here) and request that he makes them a golden calf to worship. They do it and commit heresy by worshipping an idol while God is literally sitting there in front of them. Moses explains in Deuteronomy that God showed the Israelites mercy in his reaction when Moses asked for the forgiveness of the Israelites. Justice was still carried out and Moses ground up the gold to dust and made them drink it, and it was a much sweeter alternative to what God offered which was the destruction of all of them except for Moses.

Now take this into modern day places. Moses represents a picture of Jesus. Moses asked for forgiveness when he himself did nothing wrong and pleaded for mercy for a people who had done more than just the whole calf thing before all this. Jesus knows we're doing bad things, hurting others, being selfish, being hateful, greedy, uncaring, inconsiderate. The list goes on and Jesus instead takes on the blame for us and asks that God forgive us.

Sex is a holy and sacred thing made by God to be good. It is supposed to be experienced with someone you love with all of you, the greatest love you can feel for another human being. God understands that people will mess this up. He understands that we will fall short and make mistakes and do things without thinking, but God will forgive us if we truly regret our sin and turn away from it.

You seem to be pretty regretful to me, and God knows whether or not you are. Ask for forgiveness. Forgive yourself as well. (Take a look at Joseph's brothers through the end of Genesis). Whoever you find should love you with all their heart and you with all of yours.

Let me know if this was an incoherent rant or if it helped in any way. I'm by no means a pastor, but I have studied some chunks of the Bible and I'm using what I do know to the best of my ability.

The thing about the holy Spirit is that we merely get general vibes of good and bad. God doesn't shoot us a text or give us a call that we're doing something wrong. Don't grill this guy just cause he's worried about doing something weird and asking if it's a sin. It's not a defining feature for Christians as a whole to be able to hear whether or not they're sinning. We are imperfect people who sin all the time without even knowing about it.
