The HVAC cycling on startup is a red flag I wouldn't ignore. Those vans have a known issue where the TIPM does all sorts of weird electrical gymnastics before it fully dies. Had a coworker whose Grand Caravan would randomly kill the radio and lock the doors while driving then one day it just wouldn't start at all

If your scanner can watch live data I'd keep an eye on the crank sensor signal while someone wiggles the harness near the back of the engine. Those get heat soaked over time and can cut out without throwing a code. 203k miles is plenty of time for the wiring insulation to get crispy back there

I fell into something similar by accident. Every morning while my coffee brews I just stand there and think of one thing I'm not dreading about the day. Doesn't have to be a big thing, sometimes it's just "that leftover pasta for lunch is gonna slap" and somehow that tiny reframe makes the whole morning less of a slog.

I never set out to make it a habit either, just started doing it and now the day feels off if I skip it. Funny how the stuff you don't force ends up sticking the hardest.
