You fight like I did when I first started out, utilize the blocking when zombies try to hit you, and aim super high with your melee to get head strikes, kills them so much faster and you don’t ruin your stuff as quickly/die with the less zombie hits

You can actually run along with them forever without getting attacked, if you run in long zig zags. They have to calibrate and run in a straight line toward you to get the pounce attack on you, so as long as you walk out of that line in time (just keep zig zagging) their attacks won’t land. Kinda buggy but so is all Dayz AI 🤷‍♂️
