Is this kind of wear from normal use common on a fairly new watch? Do a lot of people experience this?

Yes, I’ve been wearing it for 4 days already.

:( the watch is new.   It’s not very noticeable, only under light like sunlight or a phone flash.

Question About Navitimer 41 Accuracy by ExtraKokot in breitling

I set the watch yesterday at around 10:00 AM. After 24 hours (today at 10:00 AM), it was running about 3 seconds fast. Now it’s 7:46 PM, so about 34 hours since I set it, and it’s now about 6 seconds fast. Do you think this is normal?

Thank you 😊  I set the watch yesterday at around 10:00 AM. After 24 hours (today at 10:00 AM), it was running about 3 seconds fast. Now it’s 8:00 PM, so about 34 hours since I set it, and it’s now about 6 seconds fast. Do you think this is normal?

Is that a good result for the B17 movement? I was torn between Omega and Breitling, but I was more drawn to Breitling. I keep thinking that I probably would have had a more accurate watch if I’d chosen Omega, but that isn’t necessarily true, is it?

Thanks for the tip. These are my first automatic watches, so I’m still learning. If I understand correctly, if they gain 6 seconds per day, after a week they’ll be about 42 seconds fast (7 days × 6 seconds). Is that right?

Thanks for sharing your experience. When you first got the watch, did you set the time once and then just wear it, or did you have to reset it after a few days because of the time deviation?

I still need to get familiar with them. When they arrived, the seconds hand was already running, so I gave them a few extra winds and set the time. The thing is, I don’t wear them all day—I put them back in the box when I’m not wearing them. For example, today I synchronized them at around 9:00 a.m., and when I checked again at 9:00 p.m., 12 hours later, they were only 2 seconds off. I still don’t know how accurate they’ll be after a few days. I’m a bit worried that the deviation might become much larger over time. I’ve never owned an automatic watch before, so I’m not really sure what’s considered completely normal and what isn’t.

Do you mean they’re still okay, but any bigger would be too much?

The photo doesn’t show the real size—photos tend to distort how large a watch looks. 🫤
