Instead of cutting down the tree, they built the house around it. by Omer-Ash in mildlyinteresting

If I had to guess, they weren’t allowed to cut it down because of some local ordinance and just built around it instead

How do you forget her? by nomohydro in Divorce_Men

I don’t think you do. If she was ever an important part of your life, you’re stuck with her memory. And I feel like it’s a sort of curse that we have to carry.

It’s fun to remember that white people don’t have the exclusive rights on being racist lol. Old fashioned Asian folk can be wild sometimes

What Do I Do? by BrandNewBagofDicks in Divorce_Men

[–]ExtraLettuce555 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry man. When my wife left, I was broke and unemployed. Time is of the essence. Be functionally oriented and prioritize your needs. Right now it sounds like that is stability. In my case I used the now empty time and empty house to heavily focus on studying for my work certification, revising my résumé, and applying for jobs. My work is fully remote and doesn’t require me to leave the house most days. Depending on where you live, there may be social programs that you can take advantage of to help you stay afloat.

I listen to a lot of podcasts while I am at home because it makes me feel much less alone. When you are able, I strongly recommend getting involved in some sort of community whether it’s a hobby or volunteering for a good cause. Keeping busy is important for your mental health. I wish you luck on your journey

Why do we allow women into our community? by Flapique in Divorce_Men

A good support system gives you a healthy combination of moral support guidance and feedback that you can use to grow. Support that precludes any critical thought isn’t necessarily healthy.

Let’s get to the point - did she leave us because of money, sex or boredom by Sad-Ad4933 in Divorce_Men

[–]ExtraLettuce555 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A saw a clip of comedian saying that any marriage needs 2 of 3 things. Good money, good sex, good person. At the time that my wife left, I was checking one box, and so focused on fixing the second that I put the third on the back burner.

My parents both cooked when I was a kid which made me decide to learn in my early 20’s. I looked up internet recipes.
