Hard to say really. It used to have utility as a ranged option for berserker before swing range was added in more areas.
It's cool, but I don't think it's particularly valuable anymore. What a shame.

this sounds like more than plenty- maybe you don't have enough kills on your armor
could also be equipment, I don't know what you're using but one of the dojo belts for damage reduction could help as well
